Bourque signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Jets on Monday.

The 28-year-old winger will likely take on a similar role with his new club in 2019-20, and won't produce much offense, so there's no reason for fantasy owners to have him on their radar.

The fourth-line winger found twine late in the second period, and would be credited with the game-winner after the Golden Knights cut the deficit to one goal in the third period. Bourque has made 50 appearances this season, posting only two goals and five helpers in that span. With a season average of 9:49 per game entering the night, Bourque has not received many chances to improve on his modest production.

Bourque suited up in four games and was a healthy scratch six times in January.

Bourque couldn't notch a point in four outings and averaged just 9:52 of ice time. He also fired just two shots on net in that span and worked on the second power-play unit once. He's in line to suit up Saturday versus the Canucks, but that could change if the Avalanche elevate forwards from AHL Colorado.

Bourque even served as a healthy scratch for a game during that 10-game stretch and has managed a lone assist. Perhaps more concerning for the coaching staff is his minus-5 rating, which could result in his utilization going down even further.

While the winger probably won't be filling a top-six role any time soon, if he can earn additional minutes, he could offer decent depth value in deeper formats -- especially in terms of hits and blocks, which he accrued in spades last year (123 and 59, respectively).

Bourque finished with 11 points in 58 regular-season games, and he uncorked two goals in the playoffs to cap off his seventh NHL campaign in 2017-18.

Bourque's output isn't all that exciting from a fantasy perspective, but he did give the Avs some hopeful moments with the pair of playoff goals in back-to-back games against his former employer. The 27-year-old will be able to hit the open market as an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Offense has never been Bourque's calling card at the highest level. He's recorded just five goals and five assists through 48 games for the campaign, and his 39.0 Corsi For percentage also highlights his five-on-five struggles. It wouldn't be shocking if he was the odd man out of the lineup once Colin Wilson (concussion) is ready to return, either.

The tally improved the veteran winger to five goals and seven points through 31 games for the campaign. While Bourque projects to remain in a bottom-six role, it's definitely worth noting that he's now marked the goal column in three of his past four outings.
