Andersen made 24 saves in a 5-3 win over the Panthers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen let the Panthers score on three of their first six shots, including a real stinker to Noel Acciari. He settled down and stopped the remaining 21 shots, even though he looked uncomfortable at times. Andersen won, but he has recorded just one single-game save percentage above .897 in his last eight starts. Gulp. While he will always be the Leafs' first choice in net, he's a tough fantasy play as you head to the playoffs.

Andersen will guard the road goal during Thursday's matchup with the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen was a little shaky in his last start Tuesday against Tampa Bay, allowing three goals on 29 shots, but he was ultimately able to pick up his 26th win of the season thanks to strong goal support from his teammates. The Danish backstop will look to keep rolling in a road matchup with a Florida squad that's averaging 3.67 goals per game at home this campaign, third-most in the NHL.

Andersen allowed three goals on 29 shots in a 4-3 win over the Lightning on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Since shutting out the Penguins last Thursday, Andersen has yielded nine goals on 76 shots and posted a save percentage below .900 in two games. The shutout makes things look a lot better, but Andersen has really struggled lately, going 2-4-0 with an .877 save percentage in his last six games. It's been a rough season for Andersen overall too, as he is 26-13-6 with a 2.98 GAA and .906 save percentage in 48 games this season.

Andersen will be between the pipes for his fifth consecutive game in Tuesday's road clash with the Lightning, Paul Hendrick of the Maple Leafs' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen went 1-3-0 with a 4.01 GAA and .878 save percentage in his previous four outings, though he did register a shutout versus the Penguins on Feb. 20. A clash with the NHL's most potent offense (3.53 goals per game) isn't likely the type of matchup Andersen would want in order to get his season back on track. Still, the Leafs are putting up 3.48 goals per game of their own and could provide the netminder with an abundance of offensive support.

Andersen made 41 saves in Saturday's 6-3 loss to Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
The pendulum in Toronto continues to swing. Andersen put up a shutout last game, but got picked apart in the second period Saturday. He's now 1-4 in his last five games with three of those games with at least five goals allowed. Yes, you read that right. Andersen has been hot in moments, but full-game consistency has been hard to find. You might want to consider an alternative, at least short term.

Andersen will get the home start against the Hurricanes on Saturday, NHL.com's Dave McCarthy reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen pulled himself out of a rough stretch by posting a 24-save shutout against the Penguins on Thursday, and he'll get the nod again. The Hurricanes have been quite good on the road lately, as they've won three of four games and averaged 4.4 goals per contest in that stretch.

Andersen made 24 saves in a 4-0 win over the Penguins on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen stood on his head in the first period to keep the game knotted at zeros. HIs teammates then took over in the second. It was a statement game for Andersen, who really hasn't been his tremendous self since November. Performances like this mean the Leafs have hope for the postseason and you have the kind of twinetending that can carry you to a title.

Andersen will get the home start Thursday against the Penguins, NHL.com's Dave McCarthy reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the team teetering on a playoff spot, head coach Sheldon Keefe is instilling his confidence in the 30-year-old netminder. Andersen has lost three straight starts while posting a 4.42 GAA and an .835 save percentage, including allowing five goals on 24 shots to the Pens on Tuesday. He'll need to bounce back in a big way; otherwise, Jack Campbell could start cutting into Andersen's share of the starts.

Andersen made 19 saves in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old netminder got absolutely no help from his teammates in this one -- three of Pittsburgh's goals came on the power play, and all of them seemed to be the result of odd-man plays or busted defensive coverage. It's still another poor February outing for Andersen, who has coughed up 13 goals in his last three starts. On the season, he carries a 2.97 GAA and .906 save percentage.

Andersen will tend the twine for Tuesday's road clash with Pittsburgh, Paul Hendrick of the Maple Leafs' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen suffered defeats in each of his last two outings while giving up eight goals on 55 shots (.855 save percentage). The veteran netminder will need to be significantly better if he is going to stop a Penguins offense that is scoring 3.30 goals per game (seventh most in the league). If Andersen struggles Tuesday, coach Sheldon Keefe could decide to utilize Jack Campbell at home versus Pittsburgh on Thursday.
