Evgeni Nabokov was pulled Monday night against the Boston Bruins. The Russian netminder was pulled at the 14:07 mark of the first period after allowing three goals on nine shots. At this point, owning any one of the Islanders' three netminders is a roll of the dice.

Evgeni Nabokov (lower body) felt he was "good to go" Thursday, but the New York Islanders went with Rick DiPietro. Nabokov has a 2.23 GAA and .927 save percentage in four starts this season. It looked like he was on his way to establishing himself as the Islanders' top goalie when he suffered a lower body injury. At this point, owning any one of the Islanders' three netminders is a roll of the dice.

Evgeni Nabokov (lower body) took to the ice Tuesday to face some shots prior to practice. It marked the first time he skated since he got hurt in Pittsburgh last Thursday. It's unclear if he will be available to dress on Thursday night when the Islanders host Winnipeg, but with three goaltenders on the roster he might remain out of uniform. Stay tuned for updates.

It looks like Evgeni Nabokov (lower body) won't get a chance to play against his old team, the San Jose Sharks, on Saturday. Nabokov suffered the ailment during the first period of Thursday's game, but he managed to play through it for most of the game. He stopped 30 of 32 shots through overtime, but he didn't participate in the shootout. Islanders coach Jack Capuano hasn't revealed if he'll start Rick DiPietro, who has recovered from a concussion, or Al Montoya, who has a 2.01 GAA and .930 save percentage in four starts. We'll keep you posted.

Evgeni Nabokov (lower body) didn't participate in the Islanders' practice on Friday. Nabokov started on Thursday, but he left prior to the shootout due to the injury. He's looked like the Islanders' number one goaltender lately, but he should be considered questionable for Saturday's contest.

Evgeni Nabokov left Thursday's 3-2 loss to Pittsburgh prior to the start of the shootout. Nabokov stopped 30 of 32 shots in regulation time before he left due to a lower body injury. Apparently he sustained the injury in the first period, but managed to play through it for most of the contest. "I didn't have much power," Nabokov said. "It had been bugging me for a while, and I was getting more and more fatigued. Sometimes you have to be smart." This could prove to be a very untimely setback for Nabokov, who seemed poised to establish himself as the Islanders' starting goaltender. We'll keep you posted.

Evgeni Nabokov was sharp in the Islanders' 3-2 shootout loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins Thursday night. Nabokov turned aside 32 shots in the loss and looks like he's back to his best days in San Jose. Nabokov was very sharp tonight against Penguins and could make for an interesting spot starter in favorable matchups against low scoring teams.

Evgeni Nabokov will be in goal for the Islanders on Thursday night. It will mark his third straight start for the team despite the fact that he lost his previous two contests. Rick DiPietro will dress as his backup.

Evgeni Nabokov allowed two goals on 28 shots Tuesday in a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Pirates. Nabokov has been splitting playing time with Al Montoya thus far, with Montoya posting slightly better numbers in limited duty. Nabokov has been a useful asset in the games he has played, but should be expected to get the night off the next time the Isles take the ice.
