Evan Oberg was claimed off waivers by TB on Friday January 18.

Evan Oberg was placed on waivers Monday by Tampa Bay. The defenseman was called up and sent down to the minors frequently in 2011-12, but he only managed to dress in three games with the Lightning. He'll return to AHL Syracuse if he clears.

Evan Oberg has re-signed with Tampa for one year. it is a two-way deal for the 24-year-old defenseman who was acquired last season from the Panthers. Oberg has some offensive talent but has yet to show it at the NHL level. He is not considered a fantasy asset at this time.
