Cole returned from a one-game absence due to an illness with a power-play goal and an even-strength assist in Tuesday's win over the Senators. The goal and assist pushed him to 10 of each on the year. It's not a big total, but he's been productive of late, notching 10 points in his last 10 games -- though half those points came in just two of those games. In leagues that count hits, Cole retains solid value regardless, as he's been a revelation in that category this year, with 99 now in 40 games after he totaled just 89 over 75 games last season.

Cole was a late scratch for Saturday's game due to an illness, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports. Cole missed Friday's practice for what was believed to be a therapy day, but it looks like it was the illness that kept him out of action. With the winger unavailable, Travis Moen is expected to join the lineup in his stead, while Shawn Horcoff moves up to claim Cole's spot on the second line.

Cole scored a pair of goals, dished out an assist, had five hits, and fired four shots on goal in Sunday's loss to the Blackhawks. That's back-to-back outstanding fantasy outings from Cole, who has put up three goals and seven points in his last five games. He now has 18 points (nine goals) in 37 games, putting him on pace for a 20-goal, 40-point season. Skating on a line with the highly skilled Jason Spezza, Cole is worth a look in deeper formats.

Cole had an assist, four shots, and a plus-1 rating in Saturday's loss to San Jose. Cole hadn't put up a point in the five previous games and has spent some time on the fourth line, as well as the limping second power play unit. Through 13 games this season, Cole has three goals and two assists.

Cole delivered a two-goal performance in Tuesday's win over the Canucks. Held out of the scoring column for his first three games of the season, Cole has now found the net three times on his last four shot attempts. The two tallies gave him his first game with multiple goals since the previous New Year's Eve.

Cole (illness) will play Saturday against the Flyers, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports. Cole was absent from Friday's practice due to an illness, but he confirmed his availability for Saturday's contest by participating in morning skate. Cole was relegated to checking-line duty in the first week of the season after showing up late to a practice, but he seems to be back in the good graces of coach Lindy Ruff. He's since moved back to the second line the last couple of games, but has no points to show for it thus far.
