Larkin was able to power through his illness to suit up in Thursday's matchup with Winnipeg, so he's unlikely to sit out against Montreal on Saturday. The elite center has tallied two goals and two helpers in his last five games, all of which have been scored with the man advantage. While a lack of 5-on-5 production may be a concern to the coaching staff, fantasy owners certainly won't be disappointed.

Larkin (illness) is out there for warmups and is expected to play in Thursday's game against Winnipeg, Dana Wakiji of the Red Wings' official site reports.

Larkin came into the game as a game-time decision but participated in pregame line rushes and looks ready to play. He's racked up two goals and four points in his past four games, so he'll hope to ride that hot streak as the team's top line center for the game.

Larkin is coming off of a stretch of four points in the last four games, so it would be an inopportune time for him to miss out on some action. Even if he does sit out Thursday, Larkin's absence would presumably not last long beyond that. Larkin tied the game with just 37 seconds left in overtime, knocking home a loose puck at the side of the net with Detroit goalie Jonathan Bernier on the bench for an extra skater. He's just slightly off of his 32-goal pace from a season ago, but should still land somewhere between 25 and 30 when all is said and done.

Believe it or not, the goal was Larkin's first power-play point of the season. Detroit's top center has 10 points in 13 games, with Larkin scoring for a second straight game after going five straight contests without a goal. His 21:10 of ice time was more than any Red Wings forward.
