DeMelo (wrist) is finally healthy after missing 22 games, Curtis Pashelka of Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
This year has been anything but normal for DeMelo, who has moved to and from the minors multiple times, and then suffered a broken wrist. Head coach Peter DeBoer said DeMelo is "ready to play" in Minnesota on Sunday, though. The 23-year-old blueliner has played 14 games with the big club this year, scoring a goal and notching three assists. He hasn't quite been making himself valuable in other ways either -- he only has 18 hits and 14 blocked shots. Before injury, though, DeMelo clocked time on the power play, which shows potential for future fantasy production.

DeMelo (wrist) missed another game on Tuesday against the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
DeMelo was activated from Injured Reserve on Monday, but he hasn't been active for two games since. Overall he has been sidelined for 21 games. Avoid him until he is able to get back on the ice, knock off the rust and prove he is 100 percent healthy.

DeMelo (wrist) was activated off injured reserve Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The blueliner had four points in 14 games before getting injured, so there's definitely worse producers in the league. When he went down in mid January, it was assumed he'd be sidelined for eight weeks, but it's only been five weeks and he's finding himself back. His first chance to return will come Saturday in Vancouver.

DeMelo will miss eight weeks with his broken wrist, Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area reports,
EDGE Analysis
DeMelo was spotted wearing a cast after getting slashed on his right wrist following Tuesday's game against the Oilers in Edmonton. His initial return timetable was only two weeks, but with the wrist confirmed to be broken, it's no surprise that he'll be out much longer. While the Sharks have yet to place the defenseman on IR, it seems like only a matter of time before he'll be on that list.

DeMelo (wrist) is out at least a few weeks, Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
DeMelo got slashed in the right wrist area in Edmonton on Tuesday and is wearing a cast. The 23-year-old will now head back to San Jose wear he'll get scans to determine the extent of the damage. Either way, the Ontario native had produced four points in 14 games for the Sharks, and remains irrelevant in most fantasy formats.

Demelo scored a goal in 15:16 of ice time in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
This was just the second game of the season for the defenseman, who has served as a healthy scratch for most of the year. Demelo has proven relatively useful across those two contests as far as peripheral stats go, posting five hits, three blocked shots and four shots on goal. However, the 23-year-old had just four points in 45 games as a rookie last year, so there's not enough here (at least yet) to recommend him for fantasy purposes.

Demelo has been a healthy scratch for each of the Sharks' six games this season.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old rearguard cracked the big club out of training camp but has yet to throw on a jersey for game action. Demelo's extended time in the press box is likely due to a combination of the Sharks being healthy on the blue line, as well as the fact that David Schlemko -- who signed with San Jose last summer -- has taken over the sixth defense slot that Demelo occupied for 45 games last year. He only managed four points during that span, so even once he gets a chance to hit the ice, his fantasy value is negligible.

DeMelo has been recalled to the NHL by the Sharks on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
With an injury to Marc-Edouard Vlasic, DeMelo will draw into the lineup immediately. He's expected to play in Vlasic's slot alongside Justin Braun. DeMelo's four points in 33 games this season doesn't inspire a lot of excitement for a roster spot Saturday.

DeMelo was reassigned to AHL San Jose on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
DeMelo was up for more than a week, but didn't draw into the lineup during this stint. He's played 33 games for the Sharks this season, but has just two goals and two assists. DeMelo won't score many points, but has a bit more upside than most stay-at-home defensemen.
