Considering the fact that he hurt Tomas Hertl, Los Angeles Kings captain Dustin Brown might be a target of the San Jose Sharks on Sunday. That could possibly mean a nice PIM output for the U.S. Olympian, although he isn't exactly known as a guy who "answers the bell" in fights very often. Still, you should put him on your roster on a light Sunday, either way.

With the exception of a couple games where Brown received a game misconduct, he hasn't gotten less ice time than that since April 15, 2006. He's been a big disappointment offensively in 2013-14 with 10 goals and 16 points in 48 games.

Brown was named to the United States Olympic team on Wednesday so that could be the impetus he needs to get his offensive game in gear.

The Los Angeles Kings hit the halfway point of their season on Tuesday with Dustin Brown contributing only seven goals and 13 points this season. Brown is on pace for a 26 point season, easily his worst since his rookie season when he had only five points in 31 games. He does contribute in other fantasy ways as he is plus-12 with 43 penalty minutes in 40 games but owners are definitely expecting a lot more in the second half from Brown.

Dustin Brown missed Monday's game due to the flu. The Christmas break has started, so there's a good chance Brown won't end up missing anymore playing time over this illness. Los Angeles isn't scheduled to play again until Saturday.

He has not had a power play point in 26 games and although his peripheral stats are nice as he has 43 penalty minutes and a plus-15 rating, his lack of points in 37 games hurts his fantasy value.
