Beat writer Michael Russo believes Devin Setoguchi could be traded after the Wild acquired former first-round pick Nino Niederreiter over the weekend. The Wild acquired Niederreiter from the Islanders, who gave up on the former No. 5 overall pick after the two sides disagreed on the next step in his development this past season. Setoguchi has a $3 million cap hit, which is particularly prohibitive for a Minnesota team that is close to the $64.3 million cap ceiling and would still like to add a piece or two this offseason. Setoguchi had 13 goals and 27 points in 48 games this season.

Devin Setoguchi scored his first postseason goal Friday night since he potted seven during the 2011 Stanley Cup playoffs with San Jose. "I think 98 percent of the game is mental," he said. "In between the ears is the biggest thing. Playing the right way, believing in yourself, having confidence with the puck, that's the most important thing." Setoguchi was hit by a car in the summer of 2011, which prevented him from much of his offseason conditioning work before joining the Wild. Injuries limited him to 69 games last season. But he returned ready to go this fall after the lockout ended. And, after a slow start, has caught fire.
