Dennis Wideman is fully recovered from the leg hematoma that kept him on the sidelines for the end of the 2010-11 campaign.
He missed last five games of the regular season and nine playoff contest with the ailment, but is looking forward to the start of the upcoming year. "I'm 100 percent as far as skating and everything goes. I'm 100 percent," Wideman said. "There's still a little bit to catch up on, in just getting the response that you'd like to see out of your leg but I'm pretty close. I'm able to play and everything - I'm just pretty close to exactly where I'd want to be at this time." Wideman had been logging big minutes with the Capitals after being acquired from the Florida Panthers. He posted 10 goals and 40 points in 75 games last season and his horrid minus-19 rating should improve greatly with a full year in Washington. He should be on your radar as a late addition to your fantasy defense corps.
