Mercer scored a goal with his lone shot in Monday's 2-1 overtime win over the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Mercer enjoyed an excellent start to the campaign with eight goals and 13 points over his first 12 regular-season contests. However, the winger has cooled off considerably since then and has been limited to only 16 points (five goals, 11 helpers) in his subsequent 37 appearances. Mercer will continue to have opportunities to produce, especially given that he's posted three points over his last four games, but the overall drop in production since that hot start has limited his appeal in most formats.

Mercer produced a goal and an assist in Monday's 5-2 win over the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old opened the scoring midway through the first period, wiring a shot past Jesper Wallstedt on a feed from behind the net by Nico Hischier. Mercer then helped set up Ondrej Palat for New Jersey's final tally in the third. It was Mercer's first multi-point performance since Nov. 29, while the goal was only his second in 21 games since then. On the season, he's managed 12 goals and 28 points in 46 contests.

Mercer scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
Mercer ended his 16-game goal drought with a first-period tally. During that stretch, he was limited to five assists, 34 shots on net and a plus-1 rating. The 24-year-old has been playing center on the second line for the last few games while Jack Hughes works on the wing with Nico Hischier centering the top line. Even with the recent slump, Mercer's at 11 goals and 26 points through 42 outings this season, putting him on pace to top the 50-point mark for the second time in his career.

Mercer registered an assist and had two shots on goal in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Mercer had the secondary helper on Brett Pesce's goal in the first period. The 24-year-old Mercer is up to 14 assists, 24 points, 75 shots on net and 29 blocks across 37 games this season. Despite playing at a sub-par level offensively in December, he is starting to heat up with an assist in back-to-back games. He has maintained his spot on New Jersey's top line alongside Nico Hischier and Timo Meier since the latter and Jack Hughes returned to the team's top six two games ago. Regardless of the line combinations, Mercer should continue to see top-six minutes on a wing if he continues to produce points.

Mercer registered an assist and placed a shot on goal in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Vancouver.
EDGE Analysis
Mercer picked up a secondary helper on Luke Hughes' goal in the second period. With the apple, Mercer has 12 assists, 22 points, 66 shots on goal and 25 blocks through 33 appearances this season. He used Sunday's contest to earn his first point since moving out to the right wing to play alongside Nico Hischier and Jesper Bratt on New Jersey's top line. The assist snapped a six-game drought and gives Mercer a solid outlook in fantasy moving forward if he continues to see a high volume of minutes. He is on pace to post his first 40-plus point campaign since the 2022-23 season.

Mercer delivered an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Both points came later in the game as the Devils tried to rally from a 4-1 deficit, but they couldn't find an equalizer. Mercer has begun to heat up at the end of November, producing a goal and four points in the last four games. The 24-year-old center has 10 goals and 20 points in 25 contests as he steams toward a career-best campaign.

Mercer scored a goal on five shots and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Mercer had gone four games without a goal, earning just two assists in that span. The 24-year-old's tally erased one of the three deficits the Devils faced in the contest. Mercer is up to nine goals, 16 points, 33 shots on net, 18 blocked shots, 12 hits and a plus-9 rating through 17 appearances. He's nearly halfway to his regular-season point total (36) from last year, and he's showing few signs of slowing down despite a lofty 27.3 shooting percentage.

Mercer scored a pair of shorthanded goals, including one into an empty-net, in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Mercer has five goals over the last three games, including consecutive two-goal outings. He had both of the Devils' insurance tallies in the third period. Mercer is off to a fantastic start in 2025-26 with eight goals, five helpers, 23 shots on net, 15 blocked shots, 10 hits and a plus-8 rating over 12 contests. While his pace will cool off eventually, he may not be kept under the 40-point mark this year as he has been the last two regular seasons, making him a worthy addition to fantasy rosters in many formats.

Mercer scored two power-play goals on four shots and went minus-2 in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Mercer has been back on the second line for a couple of games since Juho Lammikko entered the lineup. The 24-year-old Mercer has been productive from every spot he's played in so far, and he's potted three goals over his last two games. For the season, he has six goals, 11 points (four on the power play), 20 shots on net, 14 blocked shots, 10 hits and a plus-6 rating through 11 appearances. If Mercer's hot start is here to stay, he'll provide excellent fantasy value for the rest of the campaign.

Mercer scored a goal in Tuesday's 8-4 loss to the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Mercer scored during a barrage of four straight goals by the Devils in the second. He didn't light the lamp in his previous four outings, but he's up to nine points (four goals, five assists) through 10 games this season. He should continue to find opportunities to produce as a middle-six forward in a productive offense.
