Savard (lower body) will return to Tampa Bay's lineup for Thursday's game versus Dallas, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Savard is expected to skate on the Lightning's second pairing Thursday. He's gone scoreless through seven games since being traded to Tampa Bay on April 10.

Savard (lower body) was held out of the lineup Tuesday for precautionary reasons and he should be able to return Thursday versus the Stars, Bryan Burns of the Lightning's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Lightning have the luxury of taking things cautiously with injuries, given their position in the standings. Savard would likely resume a top-four role if he can return Thursday -- fantasy managers should double-check on his status prior to that contest.

Savard (lower body) won't play in Tuesday's game versus the Blackhawks, Lightning Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Savard's absence won't affect fantasy managers much, as the 30-year-old blueliner has produced just six points through 47 games. He's considered day-to-day, and Cal Foote will fill in on the blue line for the time being.

Savard has been traded to the Lightning, reports Frank Seravalli of TSN.ca.
EDGE Analysis
Details are pending and NESN broadcasters during the afternoon Flyers-Bruins' game suggested a top pick might be in play. More information will come as it becomes available. Savard immediately toughens up the Bolts' blue line, and while his fantasy value is limited, he's a pillar on the ice and will be a key cog in another Cup run for Tampa.

Savard won't be in the lineup against Tampa Bay on Thursday as a precaution.
EDGE Analysis
Savard will likely generate plenty of interest on the trade market, which is why the team doesn't want to risk him getting hurt. While a shutdown defenseman of Savard's level will no doubt help a Cup contender, he won't offer much in the way of fantasy value considering he has registered one point in his last 16 contests.

Savard scored a goal and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
Savard scored for the first time since the 2018-19 campaign -- he went 107 games between tallies after coming up empty in 68 contests last year. The 30-year-old Savard hasn't exactly been a fountain of offense in 2020-21, as he has just six points through 36 appearances. The Quebec native has added 81 blocked shots, 80 hits, 24 PIM and 43 shots on net in a primarily defensive role.

Savard produced an assist, two hits and two blocked shots in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
Savard's secondary helper on a Boone Jenner goal in the second period ended the former's 10-game point drought. The 30-year-old Savard isn't know for big scoring numbers. He has five helpers, 62 hits, 51 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 24 contests while working as a more defensive presence on the second pairing.

Savard (illness) will be back in the lineup against Chicago on Tuesday, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Savard will step in for Michael Del Zotto, who sustained a lower-body injury. Savard hasn't scored a goal since March 2019, a stretch of 90 games without tickling the twine. As such, fantasy players probably shouldn't be banking on him contributing too often in the offensive end.

Savard is out of the lineup Saturday due to a non-COVID illness, Blue Jackets team reporter Jeff Svoboda reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gabriel Carlsson will slot in along the blue line in his place. Savard has been his usual rugged, stay-at-home self to begin the season, registering four assists, a minus-5 rating, 47 hits and 42 blocked shots through 18 games. Assuming his illness isn't serious, the 30-year-old will look to rejoin the lineup Tuesday against Chicago.

Savard notched a pair of assists and three hits in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
Savard doubled his offensive output for the year with his two-assist performance Sunday. He's up to four helpers, 27 hits, 33 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating through 13 appearances. Fantasy managers shouldn't invest in Savard's talents for scoring, but he can help out in the physical categories in deeper formats.
