Jones (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports.
Jones was set to miss his second straight game Thursday against the Blackhawks after he was unable to take part in the morning skate, prompting the Flames to move him to IR to open up a roster spot. Michael Ferland (concussion) is expected to be activated from IR in a corresponding move and make his first appearance for the Flames since Oct. 31. Jones will be eligible to return to action no sooner than Nov. 25 against the Ducks.

Jones (upper body) will not play Tuesday against the Ducks.
A decision on Jones' status was not expected to be made until game time, but head coach Bob Hartley decided to rule him out following the Flames' morning skate. Jones was able to take the ice Tuesday morning, so he will have a chance to return for Calgary's next game Thursday. Devin Setoguchi will skate in his place Tuesday night.

Jones (upper body) is a game-time decision for Tuesday night's game after skating in Tuesday morning's practice, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.
Everyone on the Flames seems to be on a roll, and Jones joins them with three goals in three games. That being said, he is not a reliable enough option to use for a game-time decision.

Jones (illness) provided a goal and assist in 19:28 of action Thursday, as the Flames defeated the Coyotes by a 5-3 count.
Despite skipping the team's morning skate with an illness and entering the evening as a game-time decision, Jones not only skated four minutes more than usual for the Flames, but also notched his first multi-point game of the season. The winger has now notched a goal in three consecutive games, affording him some security on the top line next to up-and-coming center Sean Monahan.

Jones missed morning skate due to an illness and is a game-time decision for Thursday's tilt with the Coyotes, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports.
The Flames will see how well Jones recovers over the afternoon before making a determination on his availability Thursday night. If he's unable to go, Devin Setoguchi would likely cover his spot in the lineup, but Paul Byron would probably assume Jones' spot on the top line.

Jones scored the team's lone goal, on the power play, in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Hurricanes.
After being held without a goal in his first six games, Jones has now found the back of the net in consecutive contests. He's been able to reach the 20 goal mark in his last two full seasons though staying healthy could be the main issue as he was already forced out of action for over two weeks this season.
