Bolland picked up an assist while skating 14:57 in Sunday's loss to the Capitals. A long-term groin injury has made the Panthers' puzzling decision to give Bolland a five-year contract this summer even more disastrous than initially thought, but at least the veteran center is finally healthy. That hasn't allowed Bolland to be much more than depth center for the Cats, who have settled on Nick Bjugstad and Aleksander Barkov as their top two pivots. While being relegated to a third-line role, Bolland has no goals and five assists in 16 games.

Bolland will return to the lineup Monday against the Blues, Steve Goldstein of Fox Sports Florida reports. Bolland hasn't played since Oct. 17, and failed to record a point in four games before suffering the injury. He'll need to prove he can stay healthy before fantasy owners should consider picking him up.

Bolland (groin) will be a game-time decision Saturday against the Sabres, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports. Prior reports had Bolland sitting Saturday, but he was on the ice for morning skate and coach Gerard Gallant said the 28-year-old will be a game-time call. Bolland hasn't played since Oct. 17.

Bolland (groin) has been ruled out for a return Saturday against the Sabres, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Bolland resumed skating with the team Friday after previously being limited to working out on his own, but he still needs some more conditioning work. The Panthers are of no mind to rush Bolland back to action and could wait until next week to activate him from IR.

Bolland (groin) will not play Thursday, Harvey Fialkov of the Sun Sentinel reports. Bolland was able to take part in Thursday's morning skate, but he is not ready to play just yet, and remains on injured reserve for the time being. With him on the ice, however, his return should not be far off.

Bolland (groin) will travel with the team to Columbus, but won't play Monday, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports. Bolland has been sidelined since Oct. 17 with a groin injury, but appears to be nearing a return. Although it will not come Monday, he hasn't been ruled out for Thursday.

Bolland (groin) skated with the full team at Thursday's practice, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Bolland has been slow to recover from the groin injury he suffered in the fourth game of the season, but there's growing optimism that his return could be forthcoming. He'll probably need a couple more practices to get back up to full speed as he sets his sights on returning from IR next week. His return will provide the Panthers with a little more depth down the middle, but the team is likely already experiencing a bit of buyer's remorse after doling out a five-year, $27.5 million contract to the center this past offseason.

Bolland (groin) joined the team for Saturday's morning skate, Craig Davis of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Bolland doesn't appear to be close to returning from injured reserve just yet, but the fact that he's skating with the rest of his mates would seem to indicate progress. The veteran center has been sidelined since mid-October with a groin strain.

Bolland (groin) has yet to resume skating, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. It was believed that Bolland was making some progress in his recovery from the groin injury, but this latest news seems to indicate otherwise, or at the very least, suggest that he's not as close to a return as expected. Once he's cleared for on-ice work, Bolland will likely have to skate on his own for a few days, take part in practices and possibly take part in a conditioning assignment, all of which would add further time to his recovery timetable.

Bolland (groin) is considered close to returning, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports. Coach Gerard Gallant was unwilling to put a timeline on Bolland's projected return date, but it sounds like he's continuing to make decent progress in his recovery with the groin injury. With the Panthers playing their best hockey of the season, however, Gallant is of no mind to rush Bolland back into the lineup until he's convinced the center is fully healthy.
