Anderson is expected to miss a week due to a knee injury, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson -- who was previously designated for injured reserve -- already missed time this season with a lower-body injury, but it's unclear if this is the same issue. WIth the Illinois native sidelined, Anders Nilsson will see the bulk of the starts, including Monday's clash with Boston. If Nilsson performs well, it could end the current split workload in Ottawa and see Anderson's role further diminished.

Anderson (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Steve Lloyd of TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was injured during Saturday's loss to the Flyers, so he won't be eligible to return until this Saturday's clash against the Blue Jackets. Anders Nilsson figures to be the primary starter for now, although the Senators recalled Marcus Hogberg from AHL Belleville to possibly get some tread if Anderson's recovery is extended.

Anderson will start Saturday's matinee in Philadelphia, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson will have his work cut out for him against a Flyers club that had won five in a row prior to Thursday's loss to the Coyotes. The veteran netminder is trying to retake the starting job from Anders Nilsson, but he'll need to improve on his .905 save percentage to do so, as Nilsson currently sits at .911.

Anderson (lower body) allowed two goals on 26 shots in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson's return to the crease helped the Senators snap a team five-game losing streak. The 38-year-old improved to 5-8-0 with a 2.89 GAA and a .905 save percentage in 15 appearances this season. Anderson will likely be eased back into action, but Anders Nilsson has struggled at times. The top goaltending job is very much up for grabs.

EDGE Analysis
Anderson has sat out the last four games, but he's healthy and ready to rock. The veteran netminder was excellent before this injury, recording a .936 save percentage and 1.76 GAA over his previous four starts. It won't come easy against the Oilers, though, as they lead the league with a 32.5 power-play percentage.

The Senators placed Anderson (lower body) on injured reserve Thursday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson won't be eligible to return until Tuesday against Vancouver, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Anders Nilsson make back-to-back starts against Minnesota and Calgary on Friday and Saturday. In the meantime, Marcus Hogberg will take over as the Senators' backup.
