General manager Pierre Dorion has confirmed the Senators won't be re-signing Anderson this offseason, Brent Wallace of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's the end of an era in Ottawa, as Anderson has been a huge part of the Senators organization since the team acquired him in a trade with the Avalanche all the way back in February of 2011. Anderson is 39 years old, and he's struggled over the past three campaigns, but if he wants to continue to play there may be a few teams willing to bring him in as a backup for the 2020-21 season, particularly those with young starters in need of a mentor.

Anderson played fairly well in the final three games before the season pause, stopping 104 of 111 shots and posting a 2-1-0 record.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson will be 39 in May and an unrestricted free agent after the season, and it's a genuine question as to whether the Senators will want to bring him back, as his career will almost certainly be over by the time the Senators are ready to compete again. He's still capable of strong numbers in the right situation, but his value's not going to be great in Ottawa.

Anderson yielded three goals on 39 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson had to protect a 2-1 lead for the last 18 minutes of the game, but he wasn't up to the task. He fell to 11-17-2 with a 3.25 GAA and a .902 save percentage in 34 appearances this season. Anderson still figures to get most of the starts for the Senators over the last few weeks of 2019-20.

Coach D.J. Smith said Tuesday that Anderson will start Wednesday's road matchup against the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
With Marcus Hogberg tasked with Tuesday's start in Anaheim, the Senators will elect to roll with Anderson for the second leg of the back-to-back. Anderson has accumulated a 2-3-0 record to go along with a 3.43 GAA and .904 save percentage in his past five starts. The 38-year-old will draw a great matchup against a Los Angeles offense that ranks 30th in the league in goals per game this season (2.52).

Anderson made 31 saves in a 2-1 overtime victory over the Sharks on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The old man dazzled Saturday -- he was only beaten on a first period power play. Anderson has won two straight, but he hasn't recorded more wins than losses in a season since 2015-16. That's in large part due to the team around him, but he is 38. It remains to be seen if Anderson inks a deal to be somebody's backup next year. For the rest of the season, you may need a combination of luck and prayer when you put him in your blue paint. The Sens are scrappy, but not very good.

Anderson will patrol the crease during Saturday's road game versus the Sharks, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson played well in his last start Thursday against the Islanders, stopping 37 of 40 shots en route to a 4-3 victory. The veteran netminder will attempt to pick up his 11th win of the season in a road matchup with a San Jose team that's averaging 2.88 goals per game at home this campaign, 24th in the NHL.

Anderson made 37 saves in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
This was a much-needed win for the veteran after Anderson allowed seven goals in a loss to the Penguins a couple of nights ago. The win brought Anderson's season record up to 10-16-2 and also snapped a personal three-game losing streak. With a back-to-back upcoming next week, it won't be long before Anderson is back between the pipes.

Anderson will guard the home goal during Thursday's matchup with the Islanders, NHL.com's Callum Fraser reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson has struggled over the past few weeks, suffering three straight losses while posting an ugly 4.40 GAA and .876 save percentage. The 38-year-old backstop will attempt to get back on track in a home matchup with a stumbling Islanders team that's lost four straight games.

Anderson will be between the pipes against the Penguins on the road Tuesday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson is stuck in a two-game losing streak during which he's given up three goals on 70 shots (.914 save percentage). The veteran netminder will be in the crease while Marcus Hogberg is away from the team for personal reasons and should resume sharing the duties down the stretch.
