Conacher was waived by the Lightning on Monday, Rick Ralph of TSN 1290 Winnipeg reports.

EDGE Analysis

The waiver wire is piping hot, with dozens of transactions made by NHL clubs in preparation for the 2017-18 season. For Conacher, it's likely that he's been deemed expendable due to the Bolts having picked up veteran Chris Kunitz -- formerly with the Penguins -- in free agency. Suffice it to say, there's very little a fantasy owner could do with a part-time NHLer like Conacher -- he's drawn into just 26 games since the 2014-15 campaign, though to be fair, he did spent the following season in Switzerland. Given that he's likely to clear waivers, expect AHL Syracuse to be his next destination.

Conacher inked a two-year, two-way deal with Tampa Bay on Wednesday worth $650,000 annually at the NHL level.

EDGE Analysis

Conacher's contract will convert to a one-way ahead of the 2018-19 season which could help him secure a regular role with the Lightning. For now, the 27-year-old will likely start the upcoming campaign in the minors where he racked up 60 points and 113 PIM in 56 outings last year. The center appears to have reignited his career after a one-year stint overseas with Bern SC of the Swiss league.

Conacher was sent down to the minors Monday.

EDGE Analysis

With the Lightning's season over while the Crunch are still chasing the Calder Cup, Conacher was one of five Tampa Bay players reassigned to AHL Syracuse. The winger is currently tied for the team lead in points (56) and will have three remaining games to secure that honor outright. Given his heavy usage at the end of the year, the 27-year-old should probably be considered a favorite to secure a spot on the 23-man roster for the start of the 2017-18 campaign.

Conacher finished with two assists and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 4-2 win against the Canadiens.

EDGE Analysis

Conacher, just recalled from AHL Syracuse on Wednesday, was a huge factor in this victory. However, he is still not worth using in most fantasy formats heading into the regular-season finale against the Sabres on Sunday.

The Lightning recalled Conacher from AHL Syracuse on Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis

Tampa Bay is extremely banged-up at forward, so Conacher's promotion will add some much needed depth up front. The 27-year-old winger has notched two points in eight games with the big club this campaign. He could draw into his ninth game of the season with the Lightning as soon as Thursday against Toronto.

Conacher was returned to AHL Syracuse on Friday, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

EDGE Analysis

Here's a guy who left the hockey landscape in Switzerland -- he had been playing for Bern SC -- in favor of a one-year, one-way contract with the Bolts last summer, only to get waived ahead of the season and ultimately become an organizational tweener. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little frustrated," Conacher said in a recent report. Still, given that a handful of Tampa Bay forwards have been banged up over the course of the season, it may just be a matter of time before Conacher gets another call-up to the big stage.

Conacher was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis

The 27-year-old pivot ascends to the parent club in the wake of news that fellow forward Ryan Callahan will be out indefinitely following a hip procedure. You could try catching Lightning in a bottle by streaming Conacher as a punt play in daily leagues, but know that he's not going to get much ice time as a bottom-six skater.

Conacher was reassigned to the team's AHL Syracuse affiliate Sunday, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

EDGE Analysis

Tampa Bay recalled the 27-year-old winger just Saturday as an apparent depth option, but he didn't draw into the lineup and has since been returned. This has been a common theme for the team's fringe players this season, so it shouldn't come as a shock to many that he's headed back. Even if he rejoins the Bolts again this season, it's unlikely Conacher will gain fantasy relevance in any but the deepest of leagues.

Conacher was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Saturday.

EDGE Analysis

The Bolts have made a habit of constantly juggling their fringe players about the organization's ranks, and Conacher is no exception. The 27-year-old has dialed in more points (42) than games played (41) this season, but there's a reason why he's only been sent to NHL ice for seven contests -- he's undersized at 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds, and has yet to prove that he can pin down a full-time role at hockey's highest level of competition.

Conacher was sent down to AHL Syracuse on Friday, Erik Erlendsson of Lightning Insider reports.

EDGE Analysis

The winger has bounced between the AHL and NHL throughout the year, but this doesn't seem like the sort of move that will keep him down for long. With the Lightning having a five day break, the team sent Conacher and two other players down to get a few more games under their belt. It's likely, but not guaranteed, that they'll come back up before Wednesday's game against Montreal.
