Potter (shoulder) cleared waivers Tuesday, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports. Potter has been brought along slowly after undergoing offseason shoulder surgery, but it appears he is ready for game action. The Flames did not have a spot for him on their roster, so they decided to assign him to AHL Adirondack to get in some ice time. He could be called up to Calgary again at some point this season.

Potter (shoulder) was placed on the Flames' injured non-roster list Tuesday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. Potter won't officially count as a member of the 23-man roster, and there's a good chance the Flames will send him to the minors once he's deemed healthy. The 30-year-old blue liner appeared in 19 games for the Oilers and Bruins last season, tallying no goals and five assists.

Potter (shoulder) skated Wednesday, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports. Potter is still working his way back from offseason shoulder surgery, and it's uncertain if he'll be able to return to action before the end of the preseason. The strong camp performance of Raphael Diaz may result in Potter heading to the minors to begin his 2014-15 campaign.

Potter is still a couple weeks away from being cleared for contact following shoulder surgery, the Calgary Herald reports. Potter is hoping to nab one of the final blue line spots available in Calgary, as the first five spots are pretty much locked down. Potter played sparingly with Edmonton and Boston last season, but the Flames like his game.

Potter signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Flames on Friday, the Flames' official site reports. Potter put up five assists in 19 games between the Oilers and Bruins in 2013. He's a gritty defender that has a shot at making the roster in the fall.

Corey Potter (arm) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice. Potter probably won't be available for the start of the second round. He hasn't played since April 18.

Corey Potter left Friday's practice with an alleged arm injury. He needed assistance to the dressing room due to a right shoulder problem after a tussle with Daniel Paille along the boards. Potter is the Bruins' eighth defenseman but he played in Game 1 of the series against the Red Wings as a number of the Boston blueliners were either sick or injured. Potter likely would not have dressed for Game 6 Saturday night even if he were healthy so his loss has no fantasy ramifications.

Corey Potter made his NHL playoff debut on Friday night. He logged nearly 17 minutes of ice time in the match, which included 1:37 of playing time on the penalty kill. Potter recorded four blocked shots and one shot of his own in Boston's 1-0 loss to Detroit. The 30-year-old rearguard has 123 regular season games of NHL experience under his belt and he was "thankful" that a chance to play in the playoffs finally came.

Corey Potter will probably get some playing time for the Bruins in their final four games. He may play one or two games depending on how generously Boston chooses to rest their top players. Potter has played in just one contest with the Bruins since he was acquired off waivers from Edmonton in early March.
