Perry was working more or less on his own against Robin Lehner in this one and it wasn't enough to secure the win. The veteran right winger has scored in two of his last three games after having gone the previous four contests without a point. Perry has been little if not consistent over the last four seasons, with 21 points in 44 games to date.

Perry had a rough start to his Tampa tenure with only one assist through his first 16 games, but since then the veteran forward has caught fire with five goals and eight points in the last eight contests.

He hasn't put up points, but he has been a strong on-ice and locker room presence for the Bolts. Perry, Ross Colton and Patrick Maroon might not produce much, but they form what has been perhaps the team's most consistent line. They just haven't caught any offensive breaks. Perry's pace will pick up, but he's unlikely to offer much fantasy value this season.

Perry had looked like a natural fit in Tampa in the preseason, skating at times with Steven Stamkos and scoring several goals. Now, he seems slow and an ill fit. Perry started the team's last game in Nikita Kucherov's spot on the first line, but the experiment failed badly. In five minutes together, he, Ondrej Palat and Brayden Point recorded a miserable 15.38 percent Corsi For percentage and were the Bolts' weakest forward line by a wide margin. Perry is in the twilight of his career and neither the Bolts nor fantasy managers should expect this former star to be a scorer.
