Perry scored a power-play goal in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
One reason general manager Marc Bergevin signed Perry during the leadup to the season was for this purpose, to be a net-front presence on the power play. Early in the first period, he camped out at the side of the goal, then swooped on the rebound of a Jeff Petry shot that caromed off the crossbar and slid the puck into a wide-open cage past Thatcher Demko. It was Perry's first goal and fourth point on the man advantage. The fourth-line winger has points in two straight games.

Perry had an assist, a team-high five shots and one blocked shot in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
The Canadiens, with an empty net and extra attacker, were able to sneak away with a point when Perry deftly slid a pass to Tyler Toffoli for a goal that sent the game into overtime. The assist gives Perry 11 points in 22 games in what has largely been a fourth-line role.

Perry scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Perry scored for the second straight game, but his was the only tally the Canadiens could put up against Jacob Markstrom on Thursday. The 35-year-old Perry has five goals, 10 points, 24 shots on net, 21 hits and a plus-7 rating through 19 contests. He's been effective in a fourth-line role, but that limited usage makes him a risky option in fantasy.

Perry scored a goal in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
Perry's tally at 2:09 of the second period was ultimately the game-winner. The 35-year-old winger has four goals, five assists, 22 shots on net, 20 hits and 16 PIM through 18 games, primarily in a bottom-six role.

Perry had a goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
His goal was clutch -- he knotted the game at 3-3 at 18:36 of the third period with Jake Allen pulled for the extra attacker. Perry actually has increased his fantasy relevance in the last two weeks with five points (two goals, three assists) in his last six games and power-play points in his last two. Perry is a shell of his former self, but he's actually producing pretty well for a guy that gets 10-12 minutes of ice a night.

Perry logged an assist in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Perry stepped in for Artturi Lehkonen on the fourth line for the second straight game and logged points in each contest. With Montreal struggling to score goals, Perry could be part of the fourth line going forward, either filling for Lehkonen or Paul Byron, who cleared waivers earlier this season and can be bounced back and forth from the active roster to the taxi squad. Because Perry, who started the season on the taxi squad, has played 10 games, the Canadiens will need to expose him to waivers for a second time if they want to return him to the taxi squad.

Perry scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Perry sent the game into overtime with a highlight-reel effort 14:35 into the third period. The 35-year-old absolutely walked Ottawa defenseman Erik Gudbranson and deked netminder Matt Murray for his second goal of the year, tying the game at 2-2. Perry was just activated from the taxi squad earlier in the day, but he certainly made a positive impact despite receiving just over 10 minutes of ice time in a fourth-line role.

Perry will be promoted from the taxi squad for Sunday's game versus the Senators, Eric Engels of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Perry is slated to play on the fourth line. The 35-year-old has notched three points and 11 hits through nine games this year. He often plays on the power play as well, although it's unclear if he'll get such an opportunity Sunday.

Perry is on Montreal's taxi squad ahead of Saturday's game against Toronto, Eric Engels of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paul Byron will skate on the Canadiens' fourth line in place of Perry against the Maple Leafs. Perry, who's picked up three points through nine games this campaign, will likely continue to shuffle between the taxi squad and the active roster throughout the season.

Perry could be kept on Montreal's roster after the team placed Paul Byron on waivers Sunday, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
If Byron clears waivers, the Canadiens can move him to the taxi squad and allow Perry, who started the season on the taxi squad, to take up a more permanent residence on the active roster. The 35-year-old Perry, who signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Canadiens during the offseason, has a goal and two assists in nine games and is plus-2 while averaging 13:03 of ice time. By contrast, Byron has a $3.4 million cap hit, so the swap would alleviate the salary-cap gymnastics the Habs have had to do thus far.
