Jones only drew into four tilts for the Islanders. The club wanted to get some of their younger guys a taste of the top level, though the 26-year-old forward may not fit that mold. He produced just 18 points over 56 games with Bridgeport this season and doesn't seem a likely candidate to see consistent playing time in the NHL next year.
