Perfetti is finding a groove after he was held scoreless in the first two games of the year. He's up to a goal, two assists, four shots on net, five blocked shots and four PIM through four contests overall. The 20-year-old winger looks set to spend much of the year in a top-six role, so he should have some scoring upside even for fantasy managers in redraft formats.

Perfetti, who failed to generate a point or shot on goal during his opening 41 shifts this season, finally made space for himself on the scoresheet. Standing at the side of the net, Perfetti received a centering pass from Blake Wheeler and shot into an open net. It was the third tally of his short career. The 20-year-old center made his NHL debut last season, appearing in 18 games and recording two goals among seven points.

Perfetti (upper body) is fit and available for the start of training camp, Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun reports Thursday.

Perfetti missed the final 34 games of the season while on long-term injured reserve due to his upper-body issue. In his limited action before getting hurt, the 20-year-old winger notched two goals, five assists and 21 shots in 18 games while averaging 14:09 of ice time. If he can stay healthy, Perfetti should make the 23-man roster for Opening Night and could challenge for the 25-point threshold.

Coach Dave Lowry doesn't expect Perfetti (upper body) to return this season, Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet reports.

Although he almost certainly won't play another game this year, Perfetti is expected to start practicing with the Jets in the coming days. The 20-year-old rookie will finish the season having tallied seven points through 18 NHL appearances.

Perfetti (upper body) is with the team on its four-game road trip but has only just started skating on his own, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Considering Perfetti has yet to resume practicing with the team, he should probably be considered a long shot to play during this four-game road trip. Even if he does return, the Ontario native is unlikely to see significant minutes and should be considered a low-end fantasy target.
