Eakin (coach's decision) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's match against the Hurricanes, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports. There still hasn't been any word provided on why Eakin is being disciplined by the team, but the fact that he's warranting lineup consideration for Thursday's game suggests the issue probably isn't overly troubling. His availability (or lack thereof) should be officially be known when the team warms up a half hour before the 7:00 ET puck drop.

Eakin was a late scratch for Tuesday's game against the Flyers due to a team-imposed disciplinary action, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports. It's not apparent what Eakin did to warrant the punishment, nor is it known if his banishment will be limited to one game or longer. Expect more clarity on the situation to come forth in the next few days. His status for Thursday's game against the Hurricanes remains up in the air.

Eakin notched an assist and scored the game-winning goal in overtime Tuesday against the Islanders. He finished the evening plus-2 and won 15 of 23 faceoffs. That's the second nice game in the last three for Eakin, who's got five points in that span. With 15 goals and 15 assists, he should easily clear his career highs (16 and 19, respectively, set last year) in both categories, but with the young center on just a 40-point pace, his utility is limited to deeper formats.

Eakin fired home two goals and added a helper in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Avalanche. The fourth-year NHLer continues to quietly produce, as his 28 points are now within striking distance of the career-high 35 he put up last season.

Eakin scored on his lone shot on goal in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Blues.Eakin has moved up to the Stars' second line the last two games while Jason Spezza has covered for Tyler Seguin (knee) on the top trio. Though Eakin stands to see an uptick in ice time, he won't notice much of an upgrade in the quality of his linemates, as the Jamie Benn-Spezza line tends to do most of the damage for Dallas. Prior to potting the goal in Tuesday's win, Eakin had mustered just two points in his previous 11 games.

Eakin had an assist and was a plus-3 in the Stars' 6-3 win over Ottawa. Eakin continues to develop into a reliable source of secondary scoring. He finished last season with 16 goals and 19 assists in 81 games and is on pace to best both of those numbers this season.

Eakin tallied two goals, one shorthanded and one on the power play, and an assist in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks. Eakin's three-point night brings his total to 21 for the season (nine goals) through 42 games. The 23-year-old is on track to top his current career-high of 35 points from last season, but his production likely won't be steady enough to warrant fantasy consideration outside of deeper formats.

Eakin registered a goal and assist in the Stars' 6-0 win over the Coyotes on Wednesday. Eakin's assist came on the power play, marking just his second point with the man advantage on the season. He once enjoyed a perch on the top line with Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin, but has since settled back in as the Stars' third-line center. He's certainly competent in that role, but it won't lend itself to overwhelming point totals.

Eakin added an assist in the Stars 3-2 win over the Rangers on Monday. Eakin continues to produce at a similar rate to last year. He's dependable, though not exciting. If he was a carnival ride, he'd be the tilt-a-whirl. You know it'll be there and you know exactly how it's going to go. 32 games into the season he has six goals and eight assists.

Eakin had an assist on both Dallas goals in Friday's 2-1 win over Calgary. That gives Eakin 13 points on the season (6-7-13) and keeps him on pace to do just slightly better than last season, when he set personal records in goals, assists, and shots.
