Chuck Kobasew has signed with Switzerland's Bern. Kobasew had two goals in 33 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2013-14. At the age of 32, he has 110 goals and 100 assists in 601 career NHL contests.

Chuck Kobasew has been on a tear in the minors with seven goals and eight points in eight games. Kobasew was demoted after he was waived at the trade deadline and found there were no takers. He has not been discouraged by the demotion despite the fact that it's the first time in 11 years that he has played minor league hockey. He'll look to catch on with another NHL team in the off-season.

Chuck Kobasew, squeezed out of the Penguins' lineup by trade-deadline acquisitions, says he's treating the demotion as a chance to improve his game. "I want to get the puck, have possession, be able to make plays," the 31-year-old forward said. "I don't know what my role will be yet on this team, but yeah, just try to fine-tune those things and get my game back to where it should be."

It's funny that there was a flurry of poolies picking Kobasew up off the waiver wire after he potted goals in the Penguins' first two games. Unfortunately for the people who picked him up, he has had no points since, a span of 27 games.
