The Trenton Tigers will be Philadelphia's East Coast Hockey League affiliate beginning in the 2011-12 season.
The Flyers' primary affiliate remains the Adirondack Phantoms of the AHL, but Trenton replaces the Greenville Road Warriors as its secondary affiliate in the ECHL where both Flyers and Phantoms players can be assigned.

Chris Pronger (back) recently reiterated that he isn't sure if he'll be healthy for the start of training camp.
Pronger is still limited to light exercise and that isn't expected to change for another three weeks. "I would say I'm quite a bit behind where I would be, training-wise, and workout-wise," Pronger said. "Whether I'm at camp or not, I don't know that yet. It's still early to tell. I would guess I would not be starting camp, just from the mere fact that I haven't been able to work out at all yet. I'm skinny to begin with, and now I'm looking really skinny." Pronger is expected to make a full recovery from the back surgery he had, but the fact that he isn't being allowed to do a normal summer workout routine could negatively impact his performance in 2011-12. He still has the potential to be one of the league's top offensive defensemen, but he should be regarded as a big gamble. We'll keep you posted.

Chris Pronger isn't focused on whether or not he'll be the team captain following the Flyers' trade of former captain Mike Richards.
With Richards - along with Jeff Carter - gone, there's been a lot of speculation that Pronger will take over as the team's captain. However, nothing has been announced yet. "You know what, I haven't put much thought in it to be honest with you," Pronger said. "This is all very, very fresh to a lot of us. Obviously I'd have to talk to Homer [Paul Holmgren] and Lavi [Peter Laviolette] and see what their thoughts are, and kind of go from there. You don't nominate yourself. I've never been part of a team where somebody nominates himself. I think that may be a little bit premature to start talking about stuff like that. It's one day after two huge trades on our team and in the history of the Flyers, so I don't think that's in anybody's minds right now." We'll keep you posted.
