Coyle grabbed an assist in Thursday night's win over the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle is giving his fantasy owners even more reason to celebrate in the New Year. The 23-year-old center has three goals and two assists over the past five contests, putting him on pace to finish with 42 points -- that would be a career high if he's able to keep up the steady production.

Coyle fired home the opening goal in Monday's victory over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle is on top of his game, scoring four points in as many games. The 23-year-old has tallied 18 points this year in 34 contests, which puts him on pace to exceed his career high from 2014-15. The winger will look to keep his hot streak going when Minnesota travel to St. Louis on Thursday.

Coyle potted the game-winning goal and had three shots on goal Tuesday against Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle has now scored in back-to-back games and is up to eight goals and 17 points in 33 games on the season. While he's been fairly inconsistent with his goal-scoring this year, Coyle is still a reliable bottom-six offensive contributor who can be of value in deeper formats.

Coyle had a goal, an assist and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's overtime loss to Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle is up to six goals and six assists on the season. He's on pace to set career high marks in goals and assists if he can keep his strong play moving along.

Coyle has four goals and two assists to show for his efforts in 13 games this season.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle is on pace to better his 35 point breakout in the 2014-15 season. 13 games into the 2015-16 season, Coyle has already moved from a bottom-six role to a spot on the second line with Jason Pominville and Mikael Granlund. Coyle has also been helpful in the faceoff circle, where he has won 45 percent of the pucks dropped. However, Coyle has been a streaky player and at one point he failed to record a point in six straight games.

Coyle netted a pair of goals in Saturday's win over the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Skating on the third line with Thomas Vanek, Coyle now has three points in his first two games. The 23-year-old is coming off a career-high 35-point campaign and could be a fantasy sleeper in some deeper formats this season. While he may set another career high in points this season, don't expect anything spectacular, as he's being used in a bottom-six role, seeing little to no power-play time and isn't viewed as a major point producer.

Coyle got the secondary assist on Thomas Vanek's game-tying goal Thursday in a come-from-behind win.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle will look to build on his career high of 35 points from last season. He got a bump up to the third line and even took a couple of draws. Coyle doesn't offer much on offense, so pending a hot streak, he's not someone you should look to pick up.

Coyle is expected to log heavy minutes on the Wild's penalty kill unit, replacing Kyle Brodziak who left for St. Louis in free agency, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle is having a strong preseason as he leads the NHL with five assists in four games. While we wouldn't put too much stock in a few preseason games, it looks like Coyle's role with the Wild could expand this season. He's not set to get a lot of minutes on the power play, but that could change if he continues to improve.

Coyle notched three assists on the man advantage in Thursday night's 5-2 win over Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle played all 82 games in 2014-15, collecting 11 goals and 24 assists while serving as a bottom-six forward. It's not likely that his plus-13 rating went unnoticed by team brass at the conclusion of this past regular season. Coyle's value would most certainly rise if he was consistently inserted on a scoring line, so consider monitoring his progression carefully and get ready to pounce in case that ends up happening.

Wild coach Mike Yeo said Coyle would open training camp as a center, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle is the leading candidate to pivot Minnesota's third line, with Nino Niederreiter and Justin Fontaine expected to join him at either wing. The 23-year-old has tallied 30 and 35 points in each of his full two seasons in Minnesota, but he'll likely need to find himself in a top-six role before a more notable breakout comes to fruition.
