Carl Klingberg has been sent down to the AHL. Klingberg notched 23 points in 66 games with the St. John's IceCaps last season. Joining him in the minors will be defensemen Ben Chiarot and Julian Melchiori as well as goaltender Michael Hutchinson.

Carl Klingberg scored twice in the St. John's IceCaps' 3-2 overtime loss to the Manchester Monarchs. That ended Klingberg's 15-game goal-scoring drought. He now has seven goals and 11 points in 32 games this season.

Carl Klingberg had two goals for St. John's in the team's 6-5 overtime loss to the Syracuse Crunch in exhibition play on Sunday. Zach Redmond also recorded a pair of markers in the defeat. Klingberg skated in six games with the Jets last season, but he didn't record a point. He probably would've began the 2012-13 campaign in the AHL anyway.

Carl Klingberg has been sent down to AHL St. John's. Klingberg has no points in six games with the Jets this season. He was originally taken by the Thrashers in the second round of the 2009 NHL entry draft.

The Winnipeg Jet have called up Carl Klingberg from the minors. He has tallied nine goals and added seven assists in 20 games with the AHL's St. John's IceCaps this season. Klingberg might make his Jets debut on Thursday night when Phoenix visits with Nik Antropov and Eric Fehr battling injuries. He has one game of NHL experience in his career and it came with the Altanta Thrashers in 2010-11. Coach Claude Noel plans to use him in a fourth-line, energy role if he plays though, so he likely won't have much to offer from a fantasy perspective.

Carl Klingberg has been demoted to the St. John's IceCaps of the AHL. Spencer Machacek and defenceman Brett Festerling were placed on waivers and will be assigned to the IceCaps if they clear and David Koci was released from his tryout.

Carl Klingberg and 2011 first-round pick Mark Scheifele will likely be used on the same line when Winnipeg plays the San Jose Sharks in Young Stars tournament action in Penticton, B.C on Monday night. Klingberg made his NHL debut with the Atlanta Thrashers last season on April 10th and he will be looking to make the team at training camp. Winnipeg's AHL affiliate bench boss, Keith McCambridge of the St. John's IceCaps, will be in charge of the tournament. He helped put 22 prospects through fitness testing and physicals over the weekend.
