The 24-year-old blueliner didn't quite live up to his 2022-23 numbers when he posted 29 points in 62 contests while with the Wild. Still, the Manitoba native could be given some leeway for having struggled on the worst team in the league last year. If Ottawa can get 30 points out of Addison in 2024-25, he will be well worth whatever full contract the club might give him.

Addison, who would have been a restricted free agent July 1, will not be re-signed by the Sharks, Max Miller of The Hockey News reports Monday. As such, Addison will be an unrestricted free agent when the market opens Monday.

Depending on where he ends up, Addison could be in line for minutes with the No. 2 power-play unit, which would bolster his fantasy value.
