Allen (lower body) said that he expects to play Friday against the Coyotes, Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times reports. Allen returned from his conditioning assignment at AHL Norfolk earlier this week, but the Ducks have chosen not to activate him from IR just yet. The team will likely observe him during Friday's morning skate before signing off on his entry into the lineup for his season debut.

Allen (lower body) has returned from his conditioning assignment at AHL Norfolk, but he'll remain on Injured Reserve for the time being. Allen spent the weekend in Norfolk for what was essentially a rehabilitation assignment. It's unknown when, exactly, he'll be removed from IR, but when that time comes, Allen figures to be in the lineup on a nightly basis.

Allen (lower body) was able to participate in practice Monday, Kyle Shohara of AnaheimDucks.com reports. Allen has been unable to play in any regular season games with an unspecified injury to his lower body. The 34-year-old mentioned after Monday's practice that he prefers to err on the side of caution in lieu of rushing back to the ice as quick as possible. Because of this, it's still undetermined when Allen will be able to play in his first game of the new season.

Allen (lower body) has been placed on injured reserve. Allen hasn't played in any of the Ducks' three games and wasn't set to return anytime soon, resulting in his movement to IR. His removal from the 23-man roster will allow the Ducks to call up a forward from the minors while Patrick Maroon (knee) remains day-to-day.

Bryan Allen is expected to return to the Anaheim lineup on Monday after being a healthy scratch the last two games. At least it was assumed that Allen was a healthy scratch until coach Bruce Boudreau said that Allen has been dealing with some minor injuries. "It wasn't that Bryan is doing anything wrong," Boudreau said. "He had a lot of hurts. We just wanted to make sure that when he was hurt, and it started when he pulled his groin about a month ago, he didn't practice. So he got a little bit out of his game shape and then he got hurt again in another part of his body. It was more of give him a rest but practice him hard type thing. Now I think he's ready to go back in." Allen has only seven assists in 46 games but does contribute with a plus-16 rating and 44 penalty minutes for poolies.

Bryan Allen (foot) is likely to return on Friday. Allen has missed four consecutive contests and will be out for a fifth on Wednesday. "I felt pretty close to being ready," Allen said. "We'll see. I don't like to miss any games. I wish I would have played the last two." He has no fantasy value in standard leagues.
