Flynn (upper body) will travel to San Jose in order to practice with the team Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
This is a great step toward a return to action for Flynn. If the center responds well following Thursday's practice, he could be available Friday against the Sharks. The 28-year-old remains on injured reserve, so look for an update from the team regarding his status once he is cleared.

Flynn (upper body) is expected to miss another week as he continues to recover from an upper-body injury, Renaud Lavoie of TVAsports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Flynn has missed the team's last six contests and could miss the next three as his recovery from an upper-body ailment has taken longer than expected. Although the 28-year-old's point production has been minimal, the Canadiens have been better with him in the lineup as they've gone 2-3-1 since his injury after going 12-1-1 with him healthy. Look for the depth forward to make his return to NHL action during the back end of their upcoming five-game road trip.

Flynn (upper body) is listed on the injured reserve list per the NHL's official media site.
EDGE Analysis
While there's still been no word on when exactly Flynn is expected back, the move to IR seems to indicate he'll be out for more than a few days. With only two assists and averaging only 12:18 of ice time per game this season, he's not much of a fantasy commodity anyway, but we'll provide an update once he's nearing a return.

Flynn (upper body) is not in the lineup for Tuesday night's home game against the Panthers, John Lu of TSN Montreal reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's currently no timetable for Flynn's return, but considering his position as a bottom-six forward the Canadiens may not be in a rush to get the 28-year-old American back in the lineup until he's really ready. We'll provide an update once that happens.

Flynn was not in the active lineup Saturday due to an upper-body injury, Pat Hickey of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Flynn was replaced on the fourth line by David Desharnais, who was a healthy scratch in Montreal's previous game, a 4-1 over the Kings on Thursday. Flynn is day-to-day heading into Sunday's blue-star game against the Blackhawks, a matchup between the two conference leaders.

Flynn picked up his first point of 2016-17 in Wednesday's win over the Isles, notching the primary assist on Phillip Danault's third-period goal.
EDGE Analysis
It's nice for him, but as a fourth-liner with precious little history of contributing either on offense or in peripheral categories like hits and blocks, Flynn possesses nearly zero fantasy value.

Flynn (neck) was a full participant at practice Sunday, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Flynn, who had suffered a neck injury last week, said he's fully recovered. He was on a fifth line during Sunday's practice and is not a definite to be active when Montreal opens the regular season in Buffalo on Thursday.

Flynn (neck) returned to practice after missing a couple of days, but did not play in Thursday night's preseason finale, Pat Hickey of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Flynn did not dress for Thursday's game, his return to practice is a good sign for his availability next Thursday when Montreal opens the season Buffalo.

Flynn (neck) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Flynn's absence doesn't come as much of a surprise, as the 28-year-old forward sustained a neck injury in Tuesday's preseason matchup with the Bruins and wasn't able to return to the contest. The severity of Flynn's injury remains unclear, but at this juncture it appears as though he will likely miss Montreal's final preseason game Thursday against Toronto. Those keeping tabs on Flynn's health can expect an update on his status once he's able to return to practice.

Flynn suffered a neck injury during Tuesday's game against the Bruins and will not return, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear how the injury may have occurred or what the severity is, but he'll be unable to return to Tuesday's game. We'll likely see his status updated following the game or within the next couple of days, but for now consider him day-to-day until further information is provided.
