Leipsic is following the NHL's concussion protocol. The 20-year-old Leipsic has lit up the WHL each of the last two seasons, amassing 88 goals and 123 assists over 128 games. The concussion will probably dash any minimal chance he had at cracking the Preds' opening night roster, but he should continue to pile up the points while moving to AHL Milwaukee this season.

Despite having junior eligibility left, forward Brendan Leipsic still is in training camp with the Predators. The 19-year-old led the WHL in scoring with 120 points last season and the Nashville brass obviously want to take a longer look at him. After all, it's not as if the Preds couldn't use a dynamic scorer.
