Schenn will be on the bench for Saturday's game against the Hurricanes, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Flyers bench boss Dave Hakstol explained his rationale behind the decision to make Schenn a healthy scratch. "Brayden has gotten off to a good start and things haven't gone great over the last couple games," Hakstol said. "He's just out for the night." Pierre-Edouard Bellemare reportedly is set to return from a foot/ankle injury, and he figures to be the guy who will replace Schenn in the lineup.

Schenn scored a pair of third-period goals Tuesday against Buffalo, including one with 54 seconds remaining in the third period with the Flyers' net empty to send the game to overtime.
EDGE Analysis
Both goals were of the game-tying variety, in fact, and they represent Schenn's first standout offensive effort of the season. They came from the prime scoring areas you'd like to see the 24-year-old occupy, with Schenn getting right in front of the net on the rush to collect and put home Scott Laughton's pass on the first one, then deflecting Claude Giroux's shot in for the latter tally. It'd still be nice to see him take a step forward in terms of shot rate -- the goals came on the only two shots that he was credited -- but Schenn still owns a ton of upside, and his value in leagues that count hits as well as offensive production can't be overstated.

Schenn played in Saturday's overtime win over the Rangers following a one-game absence, skating 16:55 with three shots, two hits and a minor penalty.
EDGE Analysis
The Flyers didn't get him back a moment too soon, as they lost Michael Raffl to a head injury Saturday. Schenn's seeing top-unit power-play time either way, but the Raffl injury could lead to him seeing consistent top-six ice time again.

Schenn (upper body) returned to practice Friday, Randy Miller of NJ.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schenn was held out of Wednesday's tilt against the Bruins with the injury, but appears to be poised to return to action Saturday against the Rangers after logging a full practice Friday. His availability for Saturday night's game should be confirmed prior to puck drop.

Schenn (upper body) will not play Wednesday against the Bruins, Randy Miller of NJ.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The news comes as a bit of a surprise, as there had been no reports regarding Schenn's injury until he was official ruled out of Wednesday's tilt. Sam Gagner is expected to replace Schenn on Philadelphia's third line Wednesday against the Bruins.

Schenn scored the lone goal, his second of the season, of Monday's win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Offense was tough to come by in Philadelphia on Monday, but Schenn was able to beat Roberto Luongo in the game's opening minutes to account for the only goal of the contest. The 24-year-old was also more aggressive toward the net than he had been in the first two games of the year, registering four shots on goal.

Schenn scored a power-play goal in Thursday's season-opening loss to Tampa.
EDGE Analysis
After racking up 19 power-play points last year, yet only seeing his season point total increase by six, Schenn should be one of the main drivers behind a bounce-back campaign by the Flyers as a whole this season. His combination of toughness and skill plays well in Philadelphia, and a 50-plus-point, 200-hit effort could be in the works.

Schenn found the back of the net in Friday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Schenn's goal comes just days after Flyers' general manager Ron Hextall labeled him as just "OK." It's his third in three games, so maybe Hextall's words sparked the 24-year-old. Nonetheless, his spot on the roster is still not guaranteed, despite playing all 82 games and posting a career-high 47 points last season.

Schenn delivered his first goal of the preseason in Monday's loss to the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Schenn has averaged 19 goals over the past two seasons and hasn't missed a game over that span. One knock against him is that he is a bit apprehensive shooting the puck, averaging less than two attempts per game last year. If Schenn can improve on that total in 2015-16, reaching 25 goals should be attainable.

Schenn scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Islanders.
Schenn has been productive of late -- seven points in his last four games. If he can snag four points in the remaining two games, he'll break the 50-point barrier. Either way, Schenn will end the season with the highest points-total of his young career, so prognosticating dynasty owners might consider stashing him.
