That said, at just 25 years old, Schenn has a lot of quality hockey ahead of him.

So, if you can stomach the plus-minus hit or the category isn't included in your league, Schenn remains a solid asset.

He's posted 19 goals, 39 points and 128 shots with 38 PIM and 156 hits, which makes him a solid cross-category contributor in the majority of seasonal settings. He's also now scored in three consecutive games, and there is no reason to expect him to suddenly stop tipping the scales across all categories.

Schenn struck on the power play for the second consecutive night, giving him a whopping 14 tallies with the man advantage this season. His 38 points are nothing special, but Schenn is approaching the 20-goal mark and has been an absolute machine on the power play this season. The 25-year-old skates on the top line with Wayne Simmonds and Claude Giroux and is valuable in most fantasy formats.

Schenn missed time early this season, but he's more than made up for that. He's already got 19 power-play points, leaving him only three behind the career-high 22 he put up last year. Needless to say, Schenn is all but guaranteed to surpass that number, and will likely finish the season as one of the NHL's top power-play performers.

Schenn broke up Sabres netminder Anders Nilsson's shutout bid with a power-play goal late in the third period Tuesday, but it wasn't nearly enough in a 4-1 loss. He finished minus-2 with five shots.

Schenn has been a consistent scoresheet presence of late, as he's operating at a point-per-game pace over the last seven contests. The 25-year-old is running only slightly short of last year's point-gathering pace, but he's racking up power-play points like there's no tomorrow -- 16 of them already in 40 games. Unfortunately, that positive is balanced somewhat by an unpleasant minus-9 rating.
