Brayden McNabb is not playing in Saturday's game because of a possible concussion. He's still not doing well today," Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said. "It's going to be a little bit." McNabb left Friday's game in the third period and didn't travel with the team to Carolina for Saturday's contest.

Brayden McNabb spent the last 13 minutes of Friday's game in a quiet room due to a possible concussion. Sabres coach Lindy Ruff has already stated that McNabb is doubtful for Saturday's game. It's not clear if the Sabres have already diagnosed him with a concussion or if they're simply erring on the side of caution.

Sabres' rookie Brayden McNabb has been selected to play in the AHL All-Star game despite being with the Sabres since late November. McNabb has shown flashes of brilliance in his brief time in Buffalo. Tuesday night he registered two assists in the Sabres' 4-3 win over Edmonton and was selected as the game's third star. With Tyler Myers on the verge of a return, McNabb will likely be returned to Rochester. However, we expect him to be back before the end of the season. Keep an eye on him as he has the potential to contribute both points and penalty minutes to your fantasy totals.

Brayden McNabb is anxious to get back into Buffalo's lineup after being scratched from Saturday's game against Pittsburgh. "You definitely don't like sitting out," McNabb said. "You've got to be supportive and whatnot, but I want to be in there as soon as possible. ... There's stuff I'm working hard on, footwork with coaches after practice, but I'm trying to get back, and that's what I'm going to keep doing." The 20-year-old defender has no points, two penalty minutes and a minus-2 rating in nine games with the Sabres, but he has made an impression with his physical play.

Brayden McNabb appears as though he will stay up with the Sabres for now. It was thought that McNabb would be returned to the minors with Mike Weber back from injury, but he stayed in the lineup in Tuesday's overtime loss to Ottawa. "He's earned a spot right now the way he's played," coach Lindy Ruff said. "We look at it that we've got to win games. When we get even more numbers back, maybe things change."

Sabres coach Lindy Ruff thought Brayden McNabb might have been their best player on Friday. McNabb had a plus-one rating, two penalty minutes, two takeaways, two shots on goal, and three hits in 16:54 minutes of playing time. McNabb also started the play that lead to the Sabres' first goal of the game, although he didn't get credit with an assist. He managed to get the puck to Tyler Ennis despite the fact that his stick was broken. The puck then found his way to Drew Stafford and lastly Derek Roy, who netted his seventh goal of the season. This was just McNabb's sixth career NHL game.

Brayden McNabb delivered some thunderous checks in Tuesday's loss to the New York Islanders in his second career game at the NHL level. "That's the thing I have to keep doing," said McNabb, who posted a team-high six hits during his debut Saturday. "It's such a big part of my game and I don't want to shy away from it. I'm comfortable with doing it and I want to keep doing it. This was only my second game. You come into the league and you try to make a statement." His physical nature and potential to pick up points should make him an interesting player to watch in the future, but he is getting a good chance to showcase his skills now due to injuries on Buffalo's back end.
