Saad was not part of Chicago's top four lines at Monday's practice, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
An intriguing development, considering Saad has tallied two assists in five games to start the season. Chicago's next game is still three days away, on Thursday versus the Coyotes and a lot can change between now and puck drop. The 25-year-old American has averaged 17:03 of ice time, fifth most among Blackhawks forwards so this will be a development worth monitoring over the next few days.

Saad will be looking to enjoy a bounce-back campaign after posting his lowest point total since his rookie season in 2017-18.
EDGE Analysis
Saad was a major disappointment last season, failing to crack the 20-goal and 50-point marks for the first time in three seasons. The silver lining for Saad is that lack of production wasn't due to a decreased role, as the 25-year-old winger set a career high in ice time, averaging 17:30 per contest, while also logging over two minutes of time on the man advantage per game. The Pittsburgh native also set a career high in shots on net with 237, but failed to translate that heavy shot volume into his typical goal production due to a career low 7.6 shooting percentage. It's safe to assume Saad will see positive regression in that category this season, and when you couple that with the fact that he'll likely be skating with a better player on his opposite wing, it's easy to see why he should be considered a prime bounce-back candidate in 2018-19.

Saad put up 35 points (18 goals, 17 assists) while playing in all 82 games, firing off 237 shots on goal and averaging 17:30 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
Much like his teammates, Saad saw a decrease in points throughout the season, and the 35 total was his lowest amount since the lockout shortened 2012-13. That doesn't mean the fault was all on the 25-year-old though, as he set a new career high in shots on goal (237) but was victimized by a career low 7.6 shooting percentage -- he'd never posted a mark below 10 prior -- and helped drive play which was evidenced by his 56.6 corsi percentage. Saad also saw 2:07 of power-play time per game but remarkably only had one point on the man advantage, which also dragged down his total. Saad is due back in Chicago for 2018-19, and should stay in the top six and retain a power-play role.

Saad tallied an assist and fired seven shots on goal in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
Saad has been moved up and down in the lineup in an attempt to get him going throughout the season, but that hasn't translated into increased production, as he'll almost certainly finish the year with his lowest point total since the shortened 2012-13 campaign. The 25-year-old winger's season has undoubtedly been a disappointment, but the same can be said for the Blackhawks as a whole, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him rebound and surpass the 50-point threshold in 2018-19. Saad will be a player savvy fantasy owners will want to keep an eye on in the later rounds of their drafts as a potential value pick next campaign.

Saad recorded a goal and an assist in Saturday's 7-1 blowout win over the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a disappointing reunion campaign for Saad after being brought back to Chicago in the Artemi Panarin trade over the summer, as he has just 15 goals and 27 points in 59 contests. With two goals and an assist in his last two games, the Blackhawks can only hope the two-time Stanley Cup-winner is rounding into form late in the season, so fantasy owners should pick him up if still available before he's back on the radar again.

Saad is leading all skaters who've played at least 25 games this season in Corsi For percentage with a value of 59.0.
EDGE Analysis
This proves that the Blackhawks dominate possession when Saad is on the ice during five-on-five situations. He's been averaging 2:42 of power-play ice time and 1:49 on the penalty kill, but hasn't etched the scoresheet on special teams save for a lone man-advantage goal. Saad needs to do more than produce at even strength to enthrall a larger fantasy audience, and with 13 goals and 10 helpers through 49 games, he needs to go on a nice run to finish with at least 52 points for the fourth straight season.

Saad scored a goal Sunday in Chicago's 4-1 win over Edmonton and extended his current scoring streak to four games.
EDGE Analysis
The streak has come at a much-needed time. Saad has six points (two goals, four assists) in those four games, but he still has just 23 points in 41 games. He's at risk of missing the 50-point mark for the first time since 2013-14. Saad, Jonathan Toews and Vinnie Hinostroza seem to have developed some real chemistry of late, so let's hope this results in continued production.

Saad had two assists in a 5-4 loss to the Golden Knights on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
With the help of Saad's two assists, the Blackhawks screamed back to from a two-goal deficit twice to take the lead in the third period, but the Golden Knights responded with the final two goals of the night. Near the midway point of the season, Saad is on pace to match his 24 goals from last season, but he only has 10 assists. The lack of helpers in 2017-18 could mean he doesn't reach the 50-point total for the first time since 2013-14. However, Saad is improving in that category -- he has four assists in the last three games.

Saad compiled two points -- a goal and an assist -- in Tuesday night's 3-2 overtime win over the Panthers at home.
EDGE Analysis
Rookie Alex DeBrincat danced around the net and delivered a one-timer to Saad for the game's first goal, and then Saad -- who now has 11 goals and six assists through 31 games -- was the primary setup man on Jonathan Toews' game-tying tally in the third period.

Saad scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Saad had been in a miserable slump where he had just two points in his previous 15 games, so Saturday's two-point effort was a sight for sore eyes. Saad is not out of the woods yet, but we're hoping this game is a big step forward. Check your wire just in case someone has dropped him.
