Brandon Prust (shoulder) will probably return on Saturday. "I feel good out there and I feel I'm ready to go," Prust said. That being said, he hasn't been activated off of the injured reserve list yet.

Brandon Prust (shoulder) skated on his own Monday with Canadiens strength and conditioning coach Pierre Allard. "It's coming along," Prust said. "We're getting there. We're just making sure it's going to be 100 percent when ... I get back. It's not 100 percent yet. But it's getting close." He has been sidelined since March 9 when he suffered a first-grade separation of his left shoulder.

Montreal Canadiens forward Brandon Prust's updated injury report: it's a first-degree shoulder separation that will keep him out for an estimated 10-14 days. He hasn't been placed on the IR yet, although it's likely that will happen considering his window of recovery. Prust has actually been pretty useful in fantasy because of his 81 PIM and a decent nine points.

Brandon Prust is "playing the best hockey of his career," according to Habs coach Michel Therrien. Prust had a goal and two assists Thursday night, and he has nine points on the season -- by far the best offensive pace of his career -- to go with 81 penalty minutes. "He's getting a chance and he's playing the best hockey of his career," Therrien said. "He's in a position not only to play defence and kill penalties, but also to contribute on offence. That line was our best line tonight." Prust is a solid start because of those penalty minutes and becomes a stronger one if he can keep producing offensively.

Brandon Prust scored a goal and added two assists for Montreal in a 4-2 win over the Hurricanes Thursday night. The NHL leader in penalty minutes went a little out of character in this contest by chipping in with some offence, giving him nine points in 27 games. The move to Montreal has allowed him to take on a larger role and he;s taking full advantage. Lars Eller also enjoyed a solid game with a goal and two assists while P.K. Subban and Josh Gorges each registered a goal and an assist in the victory.

Brandon Prust was an unlikely goal scorer for Montreal in Monday's 3-0 win over Carolina. His early third-period marker held up as the game winner. Prust leads the NHL with 71 penalty minutes in a mere 15 games. He has also contributed four points and 29 hits. Prust and his Canadiens will visit his ex-teammates in New York Tuesday night when he plays against the Rangers for the first time this season.

Brandon Prust skated on the top line during Monday's practice. Prust is primarily known in fantasy circles for the amount of time he spends in the sin bin. Putting him on the same line as Erik Cole and David Desharnais makes him a very appealing fantasy option, but obviously this could be a temporary assignment. Prust has averaged 11:47 minutes per game this season and it will be interesting to see if that significantly changes over the next few contests.

Brandon Prust is gaining more fans in Montreal by the day. Most thought the four-year, $10 million contract he signed this summer was an overpay, but Prust's impact is already being noticed. "It's hard to find guys who can actually play and contribute to the team besides fighting and protecting your teammates," said Dale Hunter, Prust's coach on the London Knights. "He's one of the unique players who can do both. He's a guy who's worth every penny because of what he brings to the game. He's a heart-and-soul kid . he'll do anything for the team. He puts the team ahead of anything. If the team needs a fight to lift the team he'll do it . if it needs a big hit he'll do it . block a shot . he does the intangibles that coaches love."
