Jenner bagged a pair of assists and had five shots on goal in Friday's overtime loss to the Hurricanes. It was only the second game of the year for Jenner, who missed the start of the season with a broken hand. The 21-year-old center, who had 29 points (16 goals) in his 2013-14 rookie campaign, is off to a good start in 2014-15. Centering the second line with Scott Hartnell and Cam Atkinson on his wings, the youngster should improve on the career numbers he put up last year.

Jenner (hand) was a full participant at Monday's practice, Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reports. It looks like the Blue Jackets could get Jenner back Tuesday against the Hurricanes, which would be great news for the depleted team. Jenner has been sidelined for the whole season so far with a broken hand, but it's a good sign that he returned to the ice Monday. The center had a great season in 2013-14 as a rookie, racking up 16 goals and 13 assists in 72 games.

Jenner (Hand) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, Shawn Mitchell of The Columbus Dispatch reports. Jenner is expected to miss five weeks with the injury, and the placement on IR is no surprise. He tallied 16 goals and 29 points in his rookies season, and is in line to contribute as one of the top six forwards for Columbus when he returns.

Jenner had surgery on his broken hand Tuesday and is expected to miss approximately five weeks, the Blue Jackets' official site reports. Last year, Jenner had a successful rookie season notching 16 goals and 29 points and was expected to be a top-six forward with Columbus this season. Columbus is going to struggle offensively to start the season with Jenner's absence, Nathan Horton's back problems, and Ryan Johansen's contract dispute, but when Jenner returns, he should be able to contribute.

Jenner suffered a broken left hand during Sunday's practice after being struck by a puck, the Columbus Dispatch reports. He'll undergo more tests before the Jackets have a clear idea regarding the timetable for his return, but initial reports suggest Jenner could be out as long as two months. Combined with Ryan Johansen's contract dispute and Nathan Horton's lingering back issues, the club will begin the regular season missing an entire line's worth of top six forwards.

Jenner (undisclosed) was not present at the team's morning skate Monday, Rob Mixer of the team's official site reports. There's still no word on the nature of Jenner's injury, but it's a little concerning that he won't be in the lineup Monday. Marko Dano is expected to replace Jenner in the lineup for now, but it would be wise to keep an eye on Jenner's status over the next couple days.

Jenner (undisclosed) is expected to play in Monday's exhibition game against Nashville, Shawn Mitchell of The Columbus Dispatch reports. Although Jenner's injury is undisclosed, the fact that he'll be able to suit up Monday is a sign that it's nothing serious and shouldn't affect his long-term status. The 21-year-old will likely be in full capacity for the opener against the Sabres on Oct. 9.

Jenner is expected to sit out Thursday's game against the Blues due to an undisclosed injury. On an encouraging note, Jenner was able to get in a hard skate with the non-playing group Thursday, so a return to game action shouldn't be far off. Jenner last played for the Blue Jackets on Sunday, when he tallied a goal in the contest, which was also against the Blues.
