Sanguinetti signed a one-year contract with DEL club Red Bull Munchen on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Sanguinetti made his return to North America last season by helping AHL Charlotte win the Calder Cup, but will head back to Europe for the upcoming season. This likely marks the end of any hope the 31-year-old has of returning to the NHL, where he played in 45 games for New York and Carolina.

Sanguinetti signed a one-year contract with EHC Kloten of Switzerland on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Despite getting selected 21st overall by the Rangers in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Sanguinetti has failed to garner a consistent role with an NHL team, though he gave it the proverbial college try. The big defenseman only produced six points in 45 career games between the Rangers and Hurricanes. However, he signed on with the Canucks, providing 16 goals and 24 helpers with AHL Utica in the 2014-15 campaign. Buffalo secured his services last July, but he ultimately was waived. This won't be Sanguinetti's first tour overseas, as he had a stint with Moscow Oblast Atlant of the KHL three years ago. Given his journeyman status, it wouldn't be surprising to see Sanguinetti back in the NHL sometime down the road.

Sanguinetti cleared waivers and was assigned to AHL Rochester on Thursday, ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sanguinetti was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 6 with an undisclosed injury, and was always expected to be sent down to AHL Rochester once healthy. Thursday's move would seem to indicate that the 27-year-old defender is in fact now healthy. Sanguinetti registered an impressive 40 points (16 goals, 24 assists) in 61 games with AHL Utica in 2014-15, and could get another shot with the big club at some point this season.

Sanguinetti (undisclosed) was placed on IR Tuesday, John Vogl of the Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
It isn't clear what kind of ailment Sanguinetti is dealing with, or when he suffered the injury, but the Sabres are now incredibly thin at defense with Zach Bogosian, Brendan Guhle, and Sanguinetti all landing on IR Tuesday. Sanguinetti will be eligible to make his regular season debut Oct. 15 against the Panthers, but he'll likely be assigned to AHL Rochester once healthy.

Sanguinetti signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Sabres on Thursday. Sanguinetti is coming off a career-best season at the AHL level, as he scored 16 goals and registered 40 points in 61 games with the Canucks' affiliate in Utica. It's likely that he'll suit up for AHL Rochester to open 2015-16, but he might be one of the Sabres' first choices for a call-up if injuries thin the team's blue-line depth.

Sanguinetti was recalled from AHL Utica on Thursday. With Chris Tanev (undisclosed) out for the Canucks' five-game road trip, Sanguinetti's call-up will provide the team with an extra option on the blue line. The 26-year-old, who received a promotion to the Canucks earlier this season but didn't play, has compiled 28 points in 42 games with Utica.

Sanguinetti was reassigned to AHL Utica on Wednesday. Sanguinetti will be swapped out with Frank Corrado, who was recalled from Utica in a corresponding move. The 26-year-old never made a single appearance during his time with the Canucks, serving exclusively as the team's seventh defenseman.

Sanguinetti was recalled from AHL Utica on Saturday. The Canucks aren't believed to be dealing with any injuries among the six defensemen on the active roster, but with the team away from Vancouver the next two games, it seems likely Sanguinetti was added just as insurance. He'll probably be reassigned to the minors following Tuesday's tilt with the Sharks.

Sanguinetti was reassigned to AHL Utica on Saturday. Sanguinetti was only on hand with the Canucks for Friday's game as insurance in the event Kevin Bieksa (illness) was unable to play. Bieksa ended up suiting up and looks to be fine moving forward, prompting the Canucks decision to send Sanguinetti back to the minors.
