Coleman scored a shorthanded goal, fired six shots on net, blocked two shots and dished out two hits in Monday's 7-3 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman buried the first of two shorthanded goals in the second period for Calgary, as he dangled the puck in front of Washington netminder Logan Thompson before placing it top shelf. Coleman led the Flames' forwards statistically, garnering the largest number of shots on net, blocked shots and hits in the game. Overall, he is up to 15 goals, 25 points, 124 shots on net, 123 hits and 35 blocked shots across 51 games this season. His recent offensive output of four points in as many games and strong category coverage are two compelling reasons to roster Coleman in deep fantasy leagues for the time being.

Coleman scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, logged two hits and blocked three shots in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman wasn't traded Friday, so he'll stay with the Flames as a veteran leader in a larger role to close out this campaign. The 34-year-old has three points over his last three outings. He's up to 14 goals, 10 assists, 118 shots on net, 121 hits, 34 blocked shots, 35 PIM and a plus-8 rating through 50 appearances this season. He should be able to get over the 30-point mark again, but Coleman is likely to finish on the lower end of his usual range for offense, which is typically 30-40 points.

Coleman notched an assist, two hits and two PIM in Tuesday's 6-1 loss to the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman, a top trade target, picked up his first point since returning from an upper-body injury that cost him 12 games prior to the Olympic break. The 34-year-old has another year on his contract after this one, so he doesn't have to be moved just yet, and the fact that he played Tuesday suggests a deal isn't imminent. He's at 22 points, 113 shots on net, 117 hits, 33 PIM and 31 blocked shots over 48 appearances in a middle-six role this season.

Coleman (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Friday, Ryan Pike of Flames Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman's activation indicates he'll be ready to go for Thursday's game versus the Sharks. The 34-year-old should be expected to see middle-six minutes and time on the penalty kill in his return. He missed the Flames' last 12 contests before the Olympic break.

Coleman (upper body) will not be available until after the Olympic break, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman has already been out of action for the Flames' last eight games and now will be unavailable for at least four more. Prior to getting hurt, the veteran forward was on pace to challenge for the 40-point threshold after coming up just one tally shy of that mark last year. At this point, Coleman's 2023-24 campaign (54 points in 78 games) seems to be the exception, rather than the rule.

Coleman (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman's designation for IR, assuming it was retroactive to his last game, will mean he is out of action for the Flames' next two contests, at a minimum. In his last seven outings, the veteran forward notched three goals on 21 shots to go with one assist and 20 hits.

Coleman (upper body) won't be in the lineup for Saturday's game against Pittsburgh, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman is day-to-day and will miss at least one game after getting hurt in Thursday's 4-1 loss to Boston. He has generated 13 goals, 21 points, 105 shots on net and 110 hits across 44 appearances this season. Due to Coleman's absence, Yegor Sharangovich will occupy a spot on the second line, and William Stromgren will serve on the fourth line.

Coleman didn't finish Thursday's game versus the Bruins due to an undisclosed injury, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Ryan Huska didn't offer specifics, but his postgame comments indicated Coleman's exit was precautionary and more due to soreness than any specific issue. Coleman should be considered day-to-day ahead of Saturday's game versus the Penguins.

Coleman scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM and logged four hits in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman's tally tied the game at 3-3 in the third period, but the Flames couldn't hang on long enough to get the contest to overtime. The veteran forward has five goals and three assists over his last nine outings. For the season, he's up to 13 goals, 21 points, 96 shots on net, 103 hits, 29 blocked shots, 27 PIM and a plus-14 rating over 41 appearances. That puts him on pace to reach 40 points for just the second time in his career.

Coleman scored a goal and took four shots in Monday's 2-1 overtime win over the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Coleman found the twine midway through the second period, tying the game 1-1 with his 12th goal of the campaign. The 34-year-old veteran has scored four goals in his last seven outings and is clearly trending in the right direction. He also has eight points (four goals, four assists) in 12 outings in December, which is a pretty decent tally for a bottom-six forward. Coleman's recent scoring surge gives him streaming upside in standard formats.
