Bishop made 19 saves in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
It was a nice rebound for the big man who gave up four goals on 13 shots Wednesday night in a 5-3 loss. Bishop was particularly good in a busy first period, stopping 11 of 12 shots.

Bishop led his team out on the ice for pregame warmups Saturday, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports. He'll be the home starter against the Islanders for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.
EDGE Analysis
After making quick work of the Wings in the quarterfinals, Bishop stumbled into the second round Wednesday, surrendering four goals on 13 shots before getting yanked midway through the second period. It probably would require much more weak sauce from Bishop before he'd slip out of the cage in the postseason. As a Vezina Trophy finalist, he's one of the surest bets among playoff goalies to pick up the lion's share of starts.

Bishop allowed four goals on 13 shots before being pulled in a 5-3 loss to the Islanders in Game 1 on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Fresh off his Vezina Trophy nomination earlier in the game, Bishop got the hook midway through the second period after looking quite sleepy on a couple of bad goals by the Islanders. This one hiccup won't be enough to expel Big Ben from the net heading into Game 2, but it certainly won't help his confidence. That said, look for Bishop and the Bolts to come out with a better start in Game 2 on Saturday afternoon.

Bishop will man the crease for Wednesday's Game 1 against the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old is coming off a dominant first round, when he backboned the Lightning to a 4-1 series win over Detroit while posting a 1.61 GAA and a .950 save percentage. However, Bishop will be dealing with a whole different animal in the Islanders, a team that is much deeper and is captained by playoff-leading goal scorer John Tavares. Bishop and the Bolts are probably still the favorites in the series, but his numbers may dip if a better offensive team (like the Islanders) is able to expose the absence of top-pairing defenseman Anton Stralman.

Bishop shut out the Red Wings on Thursday in Game 5 in a 1-0 victory, saving all 34 shots that came his way to send the Lightning to the second round.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop has been excellent so far in the playoffs, but his fourth career shutout in the postseason was a beauty. The 29-year-old finished out the first round with a 1.60 GAA and .949 save percentage, which should embed fear into his next opponent. The netminder has been exceptional, and when you combine his play with the fifth-ranked offense, it's a recipe for success that no team wants to face in the second round.

Bishop was the first off the ice after morning skate Thursday, indicating that he'll start Game 5 against the Red Wings later in the evening, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Wings have generated two goals in each game of the series, but that hasn't been enough to throttle Bishop. He's looking as cool as a cucumber between the posts, having denied 118 of 126 shots for a robust .937 save percentage in this quarterfinal playoff round. It takes several ingredients to be successful in the postseason, and Tampa's penalty kill of 95.2 percent - currently the best rate of any playoff team - has been too salty for the Wings to stomach. Even if you're in a playoff pool that allows you to swap goalies ahead of each contest, it would be wise to stick with Bishop as he appears determined to send the Wings to the golf course.

Bishop faced 23 shots, including five on the power play, in a 3-2 win against Detroit on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The win now gives the Lightning a 3-1 series lead and Bishop has looked terrific all series, allowing no more than two goals in each of the four games. Despite facing a pretty aggressive Red Wings attack, Bishop stood his ground, making several key stops, including a few scrambles in the crease. He's the Lightning's key player, and they will only go as far as he takes them. The Lightning reached the final last year, so expectations are high.

Bishop was named the starting road goalie for Game 4 against the Red Wings on Tuesday night.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop will look to advance Tampa's series lead to 3-1 on Tuesday. Counting four games in the regular season, the home team has won each time, leaving us a bit reluctant to recommend Bishop in playoff leagues since the series remains in the Motor City. Still, a glaring positive for Bishop and company is that Wings playmaker Pavel Datsyuk has been shut down offensively. If you're a fan of the Bolts, you have to hope the Magic Man continues his vanishing act.

Bishop stopped 28 of 30 shots in Sunday's Game 3 loss to the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
There wasn't much more Bishop could've done in this one, as Petr Mrazek was perfect on the other end of the ice en route to shutting out the Bolts. The 29-year-old has done his part thus far in this series, limiting Detroit to just two goals in all three games, as he'll continue to be relied upon to prevent the series from being evened up in Game 4.

EDGE Analysis
Bishop, who has given up two goals in each of his last five playoff starts, has stopped 64 of 68 shots en route to leading the Lightning to a 2-0 lead in their first-round playoff series against Detroit.
