Raanta (lower body) stopped all 19 shots he faced in Friday's 2-0 win over AHL Texas.
EDGE Analysis
Raanta, appearing in game action for the first time since November, did very well for AHL Tucson in their season opener. He faced 15 shots over the first two period of the game before a quiet finish to the contest. Raanta may need more time to get fully up to speed. If he stays in the minors for another game, he'll face AHL San Antonio on Sunday. Raanta will likely split time with Darcy Kuemper when he returns to the parent club.

Raanta (lower body) was assigned to AHL Tucson for a conditioning stint, Craig Morgan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raanta won't be with the Coyotes for their trip to Anaheim on Thursday, as he'll head down to the minors after dealing with a lower-body issue for over a week. Tuscon plays Friday versus AHL Texas and Sunday against AHL San Antonio, so Raanta figures to ascend back to the big club following one of those contests if he can stay healthy. For the time being, Adin Hill will travel with the Coyotes to serve as Darcy Kuemper's backup.

Raanta is considered day-to-day due to a lower-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
At this point it doesn't look like Raanta is dealing with anything overly serious, but it's always disconcerting to see his name pop up on the injury list, as he has constantly battled through injuries since joining the Coyotes in 2017-18, limiting him to just 59 appearances over that span. The 30-year-old Finn will likely sit out the remainder of Arizona's preseason schedule, but another update on his condition will undoubtedly be released prior to the Coyotes' Oct. 3 regular-season opener against Anaheim.

Raanta (lower body) will tend the twine in the home game of Tuesday's split squad clashes against Los Angeles, Alexander Kinkopf of the Coyotes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raanta will return to action after missing the bulk of the 2018-19 campaign due to a lower-body injury. Heading into the upcoming season, the Finn will likely be forced to split time with Darcy Kuemper, unless one of the two netminders can separate himself from the other.

Raanta (lower body) was given the green light to begin his offseason training regime, The Athletic Arizona reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raanta will face stiff competition for the starting job from Darcy Kuemper next season, assuming he can stay healthy. The 29-year-old Raanta saw action in a mere 12 contests this year, in which he went 5-6-0 with a 2.88 GAA. The netminder technically remains on injured reserve, but will no doubt be activated prior to training camp.

Raanta (lower body) will accompany the team on a trip to Colorado ahead of Friday's game against the Avalanche, Catherine Silverman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
By no means is this report suggesting that Raanta will actually dress for the next contest, though Silverman notes that the 29-year-old netminder will be participating in more workouts at practice as a pivotal step in the recovery process. According to hockey-reference.com, the 'Yotes have a 22.5 percent chance of making the playoffs, so expect the trainers to continue keeping a close eye on Raanta in case the desert dogs make the playoffs for the first time since the 2011 Stanley Cup playoffs, when they were swept in four games by the Red Wings.

Raanta (lower body) is expected to return to practice at some point this week, Craig Morgan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raanta likely still has a ways to go in his recovery and is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season, but his anticipated presence in upcoming practices at least provides a positive outlook on his status moving forward. Darcy Kuemper has emerged as one of the hottest netminders in the league in Raanta's absence, so Raanta would likely return to a backup role, should the Coyotes secure a playoff spot.

Raanta (lower body) remains out indefinitely and is expected to miss the rest of the regular season. According to general manager John Chayka, "The expectation is he's out for the season. If you make the playoffs, that might change things, but for the regular season, it would be really tough,' Craig Morgan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arizona is three points behind Minnesota for the final Wild Card spot, so there is certainly a chance for Raanta to return to the lineup before the Yotes wrap up the 2018-19 campaign. If the club does make the playoffs, the 29-year-old will be hard pressed to unseat Darcy Kuemper from the starting role, especially if the veteran puts together a strong enough run of form to clinch a postseason appearance.

According to GM John Chayka, Raanta (lower body) could miss the rest of the season, Catherine Silverman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
We recommend waiting for official confirmation from the Coyotes that Raanta will be out for the remainder of the season.

Raanta (lower body) is listed as week-to-week moving forward, Craig Morgan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raanta has already missed four games, but the Coyotes brass wants to make sure he's healthy the next time he comes back from the injury. As a result, he will be given ample time to rest and recover this time around. Adin Hill -- who had a four-game winning streak snapped Thursday -- figures to serve as the team's primary netminder moving forward.
