Rodin signed a contract with HC Davos of Switzerland on Saturday, TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Ducks placed Rodin on unconditional waivers in late September, which effectively took him off the books and rendered him an unrestricted free agent. Sadly, the Swedish Hockey League MVP (2016) dealt with significant injuries the past two seasons, and he's heading back to Europe having only played three games (with Vancouver) in the NHL.

The Ducks placed Rodin on unconditional waivers Saturday, CapFriendly reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a familiar spot for Rodin, as the Canucks had waived him unconditionally last November, only to see him sign with HC Davos in the Swiss National League. Vancouver's second-round (53rd overall) draft pick has unfortunately struggled bouncing back with a surgically repaired knee, which is a shame since he carried so much offensive potential coming out of Sweden with Brynas IF Gavle.

Rodin inked a contract with the Ducks on Sunday, Chris Johnston of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
After starting the 2017-18 campaign with AHL Utica, Rodin moved overseas in order to hopefully jump start his career. The winger made a mere eight appearances for Davos HC (NLA), but managed to tally six points. The 2009 second-round pick is slated to be a depth option with Anaheim and could find himself back in the minors if he struggles.

Rodin agreed to terms on a contract with HC Davos of the Swiss National League on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The deal comes just a day after Rodin was given his unconditional release by the Vancouver Canucks. While never might be too harsh of a word, it seems unlikely the 27-year-old will return for another shot in the NHL, instead playing closer to his hometown of Stockholm, Sweden.

Rodin was placed on unconditional waivers Monday in order to release him from his contract.
EDGE Analysis
After coming over from his native Sweden ahead of the 2016-17 campaign, Rodin never quite gelled with the Canucks -- partially due to injuries -- and seems prepared to return back home assuming he goes unclaimed. The winger had been sent down to AHL Utica at the start of November and with no clear path to return to the NHL, likely approached the organization about his release.

Rodin was demoted to AHL Utica on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Rodin failed to crack the game-day lineup during this latest call-up and will now head back to the minors -- although it could be a temporary salary cap related move given the Canucks are not back in action until Saturday. Conversely, the move could also indicate one of Vancouver's injured players -- most likely Brendan Gaunce (shoulder) -- is ready to come off injured reserve.

Rodin was recalled from the minors Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Rodin was limited to a combined six games split between the AHL and NHL last season due to a knee injury. Now back to 100 percent, the winger notched a pair of helpers in three outings for the Comets to start the 2017-18 campaign. The 26-year-old is likely just up with Vancouver to provide some emergency depth and doesn't figure to suit up versus Dallas on Monday.

The Canucks placed Rodin on waivers Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Rodin hasn't made a meaningful impact at the NHL level since he was selected by the Canucks in the second round of the 2009 draft, so this move doesn't come as much of a surprise. If he goes unclaimed, he'll be assigned to AHL Utica, where he'll almost certainly spend the majority of the 2017-18 campaign.

Rodin was designated for waivers Friday for the purpose of reassignment.
EDGE Analysis
Rodin logged just six games last season split between the NHL and AHL in which he tallied a pair of helpers. With his knee back to 100 percent, the winger will no doubt be disappointed to be heading back to AHL Utica, but should be on the shortlist of potential call-ups throughout the year.

Rodin (knee) participated in Sunday's 9-4 exhibition home loss to the Golden Knights, finishing with a minus-1 rating, two empty shots on goal and a giveaway over 12:06 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
While the performance left a lot to be desired, it's great that Rodin was able to play in the first place. He underwent offseason knee surgery and a report last month suggested that he could be held out of regular-season games until he's 100 percent. The Swede has plenty of scoring potential, but since he's only drawn into three games with the Canucks since they took him in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2009 draft, fantasy owners probably don't know what they're missing.
