Chicago coach Joel Quenneville expects Andrew Shaw to return from his lower-body injury in Game 3. The Blackhawks decided to keep him out of the lineup for a seventh straight game on Wednesday night even though he felt ready to return. The extra days to prepare and more practice time should prove to be beneficial for the gritty forward. However, he still may need a few shifts before he gets comfortable again.

Andrew Shaw (lower body) wanted to return Wednesday, but he understands the logic in staying out of the lineup until Game 3 on Saturday. "Those three extra days of rest will be huge for me," Shaw said. "We're thinking ahead, thinking of the long run." Chicago has a 1-0 series lead against Los Angeles. When Shaw does return, he will do a lot to solidify Chicago's bottom-six.

Andrew Shaw (lower body) will not return to Chicago's lineup on Wednesday. Shaw took part in Wednesday's practice, but skated on the team's fifth line. He said on Tuesday that he feels like he's ready to return, but he only recently started practicing, so it's not surprising that the Blackhawks are giving him a little more time to recover.

Andrew Shaw (lower body) hopes to return to Chicago's lineup on Wednesday night. "I feel like I'm ready to play, but that's not my decision to make," Shaw said after returning to practice on Tuesday. "I'm getting prepared like I'm going to play (Wednesday)." Coach Joel Quenneville isn't sure yet if Shaw will return. Shaw hasn't played since May 2 and Tuesday was his first practice, so the Blackhawks may hold him out until Sunday for Game 3.

Andrew Shaw took part in Tuesday's practice, but he isn't likely to return from his lower-body injury in Game 2 against Los Angeles. He skated on the Blackhawks' fifth line during the session alongside Jeremy Morin and Joakim Nordstrom. Shaw hasn't played since May 2, which was Game 1 against the Minnesota Wild in Round 2 of the postseason. However, he is getting closer to being available.

Andrew Shaw (lower body) is projected to take part in Tuesday's practice. Shaw hasn't been practicing with Chicago, but he did skate on his own for a third straight day on Monday. Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville didn't rule out the possibility of Shaw returning for Game 2 on Wednesday.

Andrew Shaw (lower body) skated on Saturday, as expected, but he won't be ready to play in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final against Los Angeles. He has been out of action, with what is believed to be a leg injury, since the opening game of Round 2. Shaw has two goals and two assists in seven postseason contests.

Despite being expected to skate this weekend, Andrew Shaw is not at the Blackhawks' practice Saturday. Perhaps he will skate on his own after practice or will wait until Sunday to don skates.

Andrew Shaw (lower body) is expected to resume skating this weekend. Chicago had to play almost the entire second round without Shaw, but he might be able to rejoin them in the Western Conference Final. Getting him back would help solidify the Blackhawks' bottom-six and add some more grit to their lineup.

Andrew Shaw (lower body) didn't skate Thursday, but it's still possible that he could be ready to play in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final. "We expect to have him back on the ice this weekend and we'll get a better determination of when he'll play," coach Joel Quenneville said. Shaw hasn't played since the opening contest of Round 2 because of an apparent leg injury.
