Grenier signed a one-year contract with the Canucks on Tuesday. The 23-year-old racked up 17 goals and 22 assists in 68 games with AHL Utica in 2014-15. The Canucks are pretty deep at forward, but Grenier will still get an opportunity to compete for a roster spot in training camp.

"We supported that wholeheartedly and we'll continue to track him there." They made Grenier a contract offer to retain his rights. He had 25 goals and 64 points in 64 games with the Halifax Mooseheads and 16 points in 17 playoff games.
