Alex Burrows is expected to be out of action for a couple of weeks with a foot injury.
He was seen on crutches and wearing a 'moon boot' Saturday morning. Burrows was injured when he blocked a shot against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday, but coach John Tortorella wouldn't say if it was fractured. "I just don't think we need to give out that information," said the Vancouver bench boss. "He's going to be out for a couple of weeks and that's the way we're going to leave it for right now."

Alex Burrows is projected to start the regular season with the Sedin twins.
He has been practicing there of late. It was initially speculated that Burrows would open the year with Ryan Kesler and Zack Kassian would play with the twins, but Kassian's suspension may have changed those plans.

Alex Burrows scored a goal and added an assist in a losing effort, as the Vancouver Canucks were eliminated in four games thanks to a 4-3 overtime loss on Tuesday.
Secondary scoring was a major issue for the Canucks throughout the season, and the problem was exacerbated in the four-game sweep. Burrows did his best to keep the Canucks alive, but it wasn't enough. Having been eliminated in the first round for the second straight season, expect some changes up front in the Canucks lineup this summer.

Alex Burrows scored his first goal of the postseason Sunday, but the Canucks were upended by San Jose by a score of 5-2.
The first goal of the playoffs for the power forward allowed each of the Sedins to record their second assist of the series, however it was far from enough for Vancouver, who also received a late tally from blueliner Dan Hamhuis. The Canucks now find themselves in the unenviable position of trailing their series by a score of 3-0.

Alex Burrows scored his eighth goal of the season and added an assist in the Canucks 4-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche.
Burrows is back where he belongs, flanking the Sedin twins. The result was the trio each recording a goal and an assist. There is a ton of chemistry with this group and the grit Burrows brings to the line is the perfect blend to the Sedin's skilled perimeter game. He's a solid source of points, hits and PIM's so keep throwing him out there while he's on the Canucks top line.

Alex Burrows will be back with the Sedin twins for Thursday's game versus Colorado.
He skated with the Daniel and Henrik during the team's game-day practice. Burrows has been ice cold with three goals and no assists in his past 11 games, so getting back on the same line as the Sedins could get him back on track.

Alex Burrows had new linemates Jordan Schroeder and Mason Raymond in practice Sunday.
Schroeder was centering the line as Burrows had been in the middle between Christopher Higgins and Jannik Hansen in previous games since getting bumped off the top line in favor of Zack Kassian. "I don't know if that's it," Burrows said of the new combination. "It was news to me until practice today. They're two fast guys who can generate some offense, if that's the way the line-up is tomorrow." Stay tuned.
