Alex Steen scored his 25th goal of the season in the Blues' hideous 7-1 loss to New Jersey on Tuesday night.
Steen's first goal since returning from injury comes in his third game back. With three points over that span, it's safe to say the winger is picking up right where he left off before he went down. Through 38 games, the fantasy surprise of the year candidate has 41 points.

Blues forward Alexander Steen made it through his first game back from a concussion cleanly, but he wasn't pleased with his performance.
After missing 11 consecutive games, Steen saw nearly 21 minutes of ice time (20:56 to be exact) in the Blues' 3-1 loss to Anaheim on Saturday. He had four shots on goal but had seven of the team's 23 missed shots. "I didn't think I played very well (Saturday), and I'm looking to play better next game," said Steen. "My conditioning and physically I was fine, I just didn't play well. Everything, from my offensive game to my defensive game to how I normally play, I didn't think I was even close. I'm just focused on playing better against Detroit. Not over-analyzing (Saturday), just got to be better."

Alexander Steen will be back on the Blues' first line when he returns to action Saturday night in a game against the Ducks.
It will be Steen's first action since he sustained a concussion December 21st. Steen practised with David Backes and T.J. Oshie the past few days and will play alongside them Saturday night. The line was one of the best in the NHL when Steen went down with injury. If you have not done so, activate Steen immediately.

Alexander Steen (concussion) will return to the Blues' lineup on Saturday.
Steen hasn't played since Dec. 21. He got off to a fantastic start this season with 24 goals and 38 points in 35 games. He's never recorded more than 51 points in a single season, but his early success in 2013-14 led to the Blues giving him a three-year, $17.4 million contract extension.

There's still no timetable for Alexander Steen's return from a concussion.
He was a full participant in Monday's practice and said he's feeling better, so there are signs that he may be close.

Alexander Steen (concussion) is wearing a regular practice jersey and skating on the top line in Monday's session.
This obviously bodes very well for a potential return to the lineup, but Jaden Schwartz is also taking shifts on the combination. The Blues host Phoenix on Tuesday night and it looks like Steen could be a possibility to play in that match. Stay tuned.

Alexander Steen (concussion) skated on his own Saturday.
Obviously, he isn't ready to return to the lineup yet and it's uncertain when he'll be able to, but getting back on the ice is an encouraging sign. Steen hasn't played since Dec. 21.

Alexander Steen will be out of action indefinitely due to a concussion.
Well, Steen owners worst fears were realized. The good news is that Steen is already exercising. The bad news is that this is Steen's second concussion. During the 2011-12 season he missed 39 games due to concussion symptoms. For now, consider Steen out of action on an indefinite basis. However, he could return in a matter of days or a week or two. With concussions you never know.
