Romanov (illness) isn't expected to play in the Islanders' season finale versus Columbus on Thursday, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.
EDGE Analysis
Romanov is slated to end the campaign with four goals, 20 points, 100 shots, 147 hits and 165 blocks in 64 appearances. It's the third straight season in which he's recorded at least 20 points, though he is set to finish just below the 150-hit mark after reaching that milestone in each of his previous three campaigns.

Romanov (illness) won't play against Washington on Tuesday, according to Andrew Gross of Newsday.
EDGE Analysis
Romanov will miss at least one game but could return for Thursday's regular-season finale versus Columbus. He has registered four goals, 20 points, 100 shots on net, 165 blocked shots and 147 hits through 64 appearances this season. Scott Perunovich will replace Romanov in Tuesday's lineup.

Romanov notched an assist, two shots on goal, two hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Romanov ended a 14-game point drought by helping out on the first of Marc Gatcomb's two goals. In that span, Romanov missed two contests due to an illness and racked up 39 hits and 39 blocked shots. He's remained in a top-four role despite the lack of offense -- his playing style focuses on physicality and defense more than scoring. Romanov is up to 19 points, 91 shots on net, 158 blocks, 142 hits and a plus-9 rating over 60 appearances. Were it not for injuries, he likely would have been able to surpass the 22-point total he logged in each of the previous two seasons, though he could still do it with a strong finish to 2024-25.

Romanov (illness) will play Saturday against the Flames, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Romanov will return to action after missing the last two games. The 25-year-old blueliner has four goals and 18 points in 52 appearances this season. Due to Romanov's return, Scott Mayfield will be a healthy scratch versus Calgary.

Romanov (illness) is set to be sidelined against Montreal on Thursday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Romanov will be shelved for his second straight game due to his lingering illness. The blueliner will have to wait at least one more game to try and break out of his seven-game pointless streak. In his stead, Adam Pelech is poised to see increased minutes on the blue line.

Romanov (illness) will not be in the lineup versus Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Romanov is currently mired in a seven-game pointless streak during which he registered 10 shots, 19 hits and 21 blocks while averaging 22:06 of ice time. Given his offensive limitations, the 25-year-old defenseman is unlikely to offer much in the way of fantasy value except in banger leagues. Adam Pelech (lower body) will rejoin the lineup with Romanov on the shelf.

Romanov is contending with an illness, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Romanov will presumably be a game-time decision for Tuesday's road game against the Penguins, as he has yet to be ruled out. New York's blue line is currently banged up -- Adam Pelech's (lower body) status for Tuesday is uncertain, and Adam Boqvist is also dealing with an illness. Romanov has contributed four goals, 18 points and a plus-9 rating across 52 appearances in 2024-25.

Romanov scored a goal in a 2-1 win over Boston on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Romanov came out of the penalty box and broke in 2-on-1 with Jean-Gabriel Pageau, who fed the defender who beat Jeremy Swayman short side from the left circle. He has a goal in each of his last two games, and he remains on pace for a slight uptick in production over his career 22-point high. Still, Romanov isn't a volume shooter (66 in 44 games), and he delivers nothing on special teams. Any fantasy merit comes from his ability to block (114) and hit (100).

Romanov scored a goal and took three shots in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Romanov ended a seven-game scoring drought Tuesday, but this was the lone goal the Isles could muster in this rivalry matchup. The 25-year-old defenseman has found the back of the net three times this season, and it's worth noting each of those goals has come in his last 10 appearances.

Romanov logged an even-strength assist, three shots on goal, five blocked shots and one takeaway in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Romanov has earned a helper in back-to-back games. He helped out on Kyle Palmieri's 15th goal of the season in the third period. Romanov has two goals and nine points over 13 games since the calendar flipped to 2025 -- he had just six assists through the first three months of the campaign. The left-shot blueliner makes for an interesting add in most formats, especially now that he's paired with the offensively-minded Tony DeAngelo. Romanov will look to extend his point streak to three games Saturday in Minnesota.
