Hemsky did not practice Monday due to the effects of a concussion sustained Friday against the Ducks, Eric Engels of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hemsky has already been placed on injured reserve, with the team offering clarification regarding the nature of his ailment. Even when healthy, the winger's opportunities have been limited, as he is logging just 9:55 of ice time per game. While the Czech is sidelined, Torrey Mitchell and Nikita Scherbak will compete for the open spot on the Habs' fourth line.

Hemsky (upper body) will go on injured reserve, per the NHL's official media site.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old originally sustained his injury Friday against Anaheim and although it appeared he was taken to the locker room as a precaution, he'll sit out at least the next week to rehab his ailment. Although Hemsky has been held pointless so far in the 2017-18 season, he's been receiving 3:00 of ice time on the power play, and been a veteran leader for Montreal. Hemsky can first return Saturday against the Rangers, and expect Torrey Mitchell to receive some ice time in his absence.

Hemsky suffered an upper-body injury during the first period of Friday's 6-2 loss to Anaheim and did not return, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hemsky took a couple of hard bodychecks and never came out of the locker room after the first intermission. The Canadiens return from a road trip, and Hemsky will have a few days before the next game Tuesday against Florida.

Hemsky had three shots and two penalty minutes over 11:02 of ice time in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to San Jose.
EDGE Analysis
Hemsky is pointless with five minor penalties over five games and could be headed toward a healthy scratch Wednesday in Los Angeles. Three of his five penalties have been for slashing, an area the NHL has strictly enforced early on in 2017-18. Head coach Claude Julien's post-game comments to Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette suggest the 34-year-old forward will be watching Wednesday's game from the press box. "You can't slash in this league," Julien said when asked about Hemsky. "I think a lot of them have been slashing penalties, so he's got to get a little bit more disciplined with his stick."

Hemsky will sit out as a healthy scratch Sunday, when the Habs play the Rangers in New York, Luc Gelinas of RDS reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Czech winger is off to a rough start, as he's yet to make any key offensive or defensive contributions in his debut campaign with the Habs. He has warmed the penalty box a bit, though, already serving eight minutes in the sin bin.

Hemsky (hip) was cleared to suit up at Habs' training camp.
EDGE Analysis
Hemsky joined Montreal on a one-year deal during the offseason and appears to be back to 100 percent after playing in just 15 games last year due to various injuries. The winger will likely find himself competing with Andreas Martinsen for ice time throughout the 2017-18 campaign, which will certainly be a red flag unless fantasy owners can be assured he is logging regular minutes.

Hemsky (hip) penned a one-year deal with Montreal on Monday worth $1 million.
EDGE Analysis
After suffering a hip injury early in the season, Hemsky suited up for just 15 contests for Dallas last year in which he netted four goals and three helpers. The fast start seemed to have the winger poised for a third-straight 30-point campaign, but unfortunately he was never able to get back into the lineup. While the veteran's production is unlikely to replace that of Alexander Radulov -- who departed for Dallas -- the 33-year-old Hemsky should provide some important depth scoring from the Habs' third or fourth line.

Hemsky (hip) will not play for the rest of the season, Mark Stepneski of Stars Inside Edge reports.
EDGE Analysis
The former Edmonton Oiler was able to get in to just 15 games this season, recording four goals and seven points along the way. Hemsky is an immensely talented forward, but has struggled with consistency and staying healthy, meaning his shelf-life as a viable fantasy option may be nearing an end.

Hemsky (hip) will miss another contest Sunday against the Lightning, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hemsky continues to sit with a day-to-day tag, but his time to return is running out. The club has three games remaining following Sunday's contest against the Lightning, with his next chance to rejoin the lineup arriving Tuesday versus the Coyotes.

Hemsky (hip) will sit out Saturday against the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
Hemsky missed 58 games this season after hip surgery, and it seems like he aggravated this injury Thursday in Boston. Since returning from injury, he has averaged 14:20 of ice time, scoring four goals and tallying three assists in 15 games. The 33-year-old has reached 30 points in each season that he played 60 games, showing promise if he can stay healthy in the future. His next chance for return will be Sunday in Tampa Bay.
