Ezeiruaku suited up for all 17 regular-season games in his rookie year, totaling 40 tackles (20 solo), including 2.0 sacks, plus one forced fumble. He wasn't listed on any of Dallas' final injury reports, but it appears he managed that production while combating a hip issue. As long as he's ready for the start of training camp, Ezeiruaku's recovery shouldn't impede his ability to take a step forward in his development for Year 2.

Gibbs is now the sole clear leader of Detroit's backfield, with the team having traded David Montgomery to the Texans on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

EDGE Analysis

Gibbs has significantly outpaced Montgomery in back-to-back seasons despite the tandem sharing work out of the Lions backfield, but the 28-year-old veteran's departure ushers in a new era for the ground game in Detroit. Since joining the team as a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Gibbs has consistently operated in a split backfield and manufactured dominant production via explosiveness, efficiency and pass-catching chops rather than overwhelming volume. It's worth noting that in 2025, Montgomery averaged five fewer touches per game while Gibbs managed to total 1,839 yards from scrimmage and 18 total touchdowns while handling a career-high 320 touches and suiting up for all 17 regular-season games. Nonetheless, it would be surprising if the Lions don't bring in another complementary backfield option in free agency or April's draft.

The Texans agreed to terms Monday on a trade with the Lions to acquire Montgomery, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Montgomery, who will turn 29 years old in June, has two years remaining on his current deal and may be the leader of a Houston backfield that could see Joe Mixon (foot/ankle) be cut this offseason and is slated to lose Nick Chubb to free agency, leaving 2025 fourth-round pick Woody Marks as its most notable incumbent. While Montgomery saw his production decline in 2025, finishing with 716 rushing yards and eight touchdowns across 17 regular-season appearances, he rushed for 775 yards and 12 touchdowns in just 14 regular-season appearances the year prior and has proven an ability to handle a workhorse role, if necessary. The Texans could certainly make further additions to the backfield in free agency and/or April's draft, but this trade represents a significant boost to Montgomery's fantasy stock for the 2026 campaign. Per Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Texans will trade Juice Scruggs, a fourth-round pick and a seventh-round pick to Detroit in exchange for Montgomery.

The Browns acquired Howard in a trade with the Texans on Monday in exchange for a fifth-round pick and signed him to a three-year, $63 million contract extension, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Howard provides Cleveland with long-term stability at the right tackle position with Jack Conklin (concussion) considered a likely cut candidate this offseason. A 2019 first-round pick, Howard has developed into an outstanding lineman in terms of pass protection, though the quality of his run blocking left something to be desired in 2025. Howard will turn 30 years old this offseason and is also capable of lining up at guard.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Cardinals will "likely" release Murray (foot) barring a last-second trade.

Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort relayed Tuesday that "all options are on the table" for Murray and the team's options at quarterback, per Jayne Bardahl of The Athletic. However, it appears as though Murray will not be part of Arizona's future plans. A separation could happen shortly after the new league year starts March 11, as the 28-year-old quarterback would be due a guaranteed roster bonus of $19.5 million for 2027 if he were still on the Cardinals' active roster by March 16. Murray missed the last 12 games of the 2025 regular season due to a foot sprain. The 2019 No. 1 overall pick completed 68.3 percent of his passes for 962 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions while turning 29 carries into 173 yards and a score across five games last year.

Hargrave was set to enter the second and final year of his contract in 2026, but his departure will save the Vikings approximately $10.9 million in salary cap space. The veteran defensive tackle finished the 2025 regular season with 52 tackles (18 solo), including 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery across 16 games. Once the move is official, Hargrave should draw plenty of interest from teams looking to add a veteran defensive lineman in free agency.

Per Schefter, the move will ultimately save the Vikings $7.75 million against the salary cap. Jones was limited to 12 regular-season games due to a slew of injuries, finishing with 132 carries for 548 yards and two touchdowns while adding 28 catches (on 41 targets) for 199 yards and a score. With Jones set to be cut, Jordan Mason currently sits atop the Vikings' RB depth chart heading into the new league year. Jones will turn 32 in December, but he should garner interest from teams looking to add a versatile veteran to the backfield.

Bell (knee) said Friday at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine that his recovery from a torn ACL suffered Nov. 22 is proceeding on track and he expects to be able to participate in NFL training camp, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.

Bell will not participate in combine drills and is not expected to take part in Louisville's pro day prior to the 2026 NFL Draft, but he said he expects to begin running next week and will "be potentially returning by training camp" but "want[s] to progress faster than that." Matthew McGavic of SI.com reports that Bell has commonly been projected as a potential early/mid second-round pick in April's draft, and it appears his recovery progress has been sufficient enough to instill teams with confidence in such an investment of draft capital. The 6-foot-2, 222-pound wideout's combination of size and speed paved the way for an impressive senior season in 2025, in which he logged 72 catches for 917 yards and six touchdowns, earning First-Team All-ACC Honors.

The Packers aren't planning on tendering Wilson, so he will become a free agent, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Wilson served as Josh Jacobs' backup at running back last season and tallied 496 yards and three touchdowns on 125 carries, adding 99 receiving yards on 15 catches over 17 regular-season games. He also worked part-time as a kick returner and logged 233 yards on nine kickoff returns. Wilson just finished his third campaign with Green Bay and entered the offseason as a restricted free agent, but the Packers' decision not to tender him means he'll be free to sign with any team.

The Broncos intend to place a second-round, restricted free agent tender on McMillian, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Per Klis, the nickel cornerback's looming contract tender is slated to carry a $5.77 million value.
