The Texans plan to release Ward (foot), Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ward didn't play at all last season, as he opened the campaign on the Commissioner Exempt List and was later moved to the reserve/PUP list while rehabbing from foot surgery he underwent in December 2024. By releasing the veteran safety, Houston will save $750,000 in cap room, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. It's unclear where Ward is in his recovery or what his prospects are for next season. He'll turn 35 years old in July.
Harrison Mevis K LAR (8) Mon 3/2/26 8:26 PM
Harrison Mevis
K LAR (8)
The Rams tendered Mevis on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Mevis was lined up to be an exclusive rights free agent, but it's no surprise the Rams decided to tender him, which will prevent him from being able to negotiate with other teams. The undrafted kicker out of Missouri latched on with Los Angeles' practice squad in November last year and eventually earned his way to a role as the team's starting kicker. He debuted Week 10 against San Francisco and finished the regular season having converted 12 of 13 field-goal tries and all 39 of his point-after attempts. Mevis then went 6-for-6 on FG tries and 9-for-9 on PATs in the postseason, all but assuring that he'll enter training camp as the frontrunner for the team's kicking job in 2026.
Xavier Smith WR LAR (8) Mon 3/2/26 8:19 PM
Xavier Smith
WR LAR (8)
The Rams tendered Smith on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was slated to be an exclusive rights free agent, and by receiving a tender, he's now locked in with Los Angeles for another season. The Florida A&M product has served as a depth wideout for the Rams during his two campaigns in the NFL, and he saw his role expand last year with an 18-303-0 receiving line over 16 regular-season games. Smith also was a key component of the Rams' special-teams unit, racking up 301 kick-return yards and 251 punt-return yards. He'll likely be deployed in a similar role next season.
Kader Kohou CB KC (10) Mon 3/2/26 7:24 PM
Kader Kohou
CB KC (10)
Kohou's agents deemed him fully cleared medically Monday from the partially torn ACL he suffered late last July, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kohou missed all of last season due to the injury, which took place during training camp. Prior to getting hurt, Kohou was slated to work as the Dolphins' starting slot cornerback. He's now set to be an unrestricted free agent, so being declared fully healthy should boost his appeal to teams interested in his services.
Ty Okada S SEA (8) Mon 3/2/26 6:14 PM
Ty Okada
S SEA (8)
The Seahawks tendered Okada to a one-year, league-minimum contract Monday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
By being tendered as an exclusive rights free agent, Okada will not have the ability to negotiate a contract with another team this offseason. The Montana State product played in nine regular-season games from 2023 to 2024 and saw limited playing time. However, Okada started in 11 of 17 regular-season games in 2025 due to various injuries in the Seahawks' secondary and finished with 65 tackles (46 solo), including 1.5 sacks, six pass defenses (one interception) and one fumble recovery. Given his strong play last season, Okada should have a shot at earning a more permanent role on defense in 2026.
Ta'Quon Graham DE/IL PHI (9) Mon 3/2/26 5:55 PM
Ta'Quon Graham
DE/IL PHI (9)
The Eagles signed Graham to a contract Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Graham was a fifth-round selection of the Falcons in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was limited to two regular-season games in Atlanta after opening the campaign on injured reserve due to a calf injury but was waived by the team Nov. 5 before signing with the Eagles' practice squad three days later. Graham did not appear in a game for the Eagles in 2025, but now that he's signed to the roster, he'll have a chance to compete for a spot on the 53-man for the 2026 campaign.
George Holani RB SEA (8) Mon 3/2/26 5:48 PM
George Holani
RB SEA (8)
The Seahawks tendered Holani to a one-year, league-minimum contract Monday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holani was an exclusive rights free agent, and by being tendered, he will not be able to negotiate with another team during the offseason. He appeared in 11 regular-season games for the Seahawks in 2025, serving mostly on special teams as a gunner to go with 387 yards on 16 kickoff attempts. He also saw some backfield snaps on offense and finished with 22 carries for 73 yards and one touchdown while catching two passes (on as many targets) for 15 yards. Holani's role next season will depend on Zach Charbonnet's progression in his recovery from a torn ACL, as well as whether unrestricted free agent Kenneth Walker opts to return to Seattle.
QLiam Eichenberg MIA (12) Mon 3/2/26 5:36 PM
QLiam Eichenberg
MIA (12)
The Dolphins released Eichenberg (knee) on Monday with a failed physical designation, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eichenberg spent the entire 2025 season on the reserve/PUP list due to a leg injury that he suffered during the offseason. Per Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post in January, Eichenberg said that he was unsure whether he would be able to play again. While retirement is certainly on the table, if the 2021 second-rounder can progress enough in his recovery, then he should garner interest from teams looking to add depth to their offensive line. Eichenberg started in 52 of 60 regular-season games since he was drafted.
Ethan Bonner CB MIA (12) Mon 3/2/26 5:31 PM
Ethan Bonner
CB MIA (12)
The Dolphins tendered a contract to Bonner on Monday as an exclusive rights free agent.
EDGE Analysis
As an exclusive rights free agent, Bonner cannot negotiate a contract with a team as long as the tender is in place, so he'll suit up for the Dolphins in 2026. The Stanford played mostly on special teams in 2025 but did see some rotational snaps in the secondary, with Bonner finishing with 15 tackles (eight solo), two pass defenses (one interception) and one fumble recovery across 14 regular-season games.
Khalil Mack EDR/LB LAC (12) Mon 3/2/26 5:25 PM
Khalil Mack
EDR/LB LAC (12)
Mack has indicated that he will play in the 2026 season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mack had been considering retirement following his 2025 campaign with the Chargers, which ended in a 16-3 loss to the Patriots in the AFC wild-card round. He put up respectable numbers during the regular season -- 32 total tackles, including 5.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles across 12 games -- but it wasn't to the level of production he had in 2023, when he posted a career-high 17.0 sacks across 17 regular-season games. Even though his sack totals have dropped in the last two years, Mack should garner plenty of interest from teams looking to upgrade their defensive front this offseason.
