A knee injury he suffered Week 2 cause him to miss most of the 2025 campaign, though he was activated from IR and retook the field Week 18. The Chargers are re-signing Phillips to a two-year, $7.5 million contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Phillips suited up for all 17 of Los Angeles' regular-season games in 2025 as well as the team's wild-card round loss to New England, operating as a depth option at linebacker and a key playmaker on special teams. As Pelissero notes, Phillips led the league in special teams tackles in 2025, earning second-team All-Pro honors. He'll work to continue making plays on special teams over the next two seasons.

Burden has less competition for playing time and targets after the Bears traded DJ Moore to Buffalo, Patrick Finley of The Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Burden would've been a popular 2026 breakout candidate even if the Bears had kept Moore, who was targeted on just 16.0 percent of his routes last season. Burden had a team-high 26.1 percent target rate while ranking fourth among all qualified pass catchers with 2.83 yards per route, but with a mere 41 percent route share across 15 regular-season games. His playing time and production improved as the season progressed, with Burden catching at least three passes in each of his final 10 appearances (including two playoff games). With Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus (Falcons) no longer playing for Chicago, the passing attack figures to flow through Burden, WR Rome Odunze and TE Colston Loveland.

Thomas is re-signing with the Vikings on a two-year, $4.6 million contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Thomas played all 17 regular-season games with Minnesota in 2025, operating as a versatile depth option at cornerback and a key special-teams contributor. The eight-year veteran projects to handle a similar role over the next two seasons.

New teammate David Montgomery is expected to replace Marks as Houston's starting running back, ESPN.com's DJ Bien-Aime reports.

The Texans gave up a fourth-round pick, a seventh-round pick and OL Juice Scruggs in exchange for Montgomery, who has one season remaining on a three-year contract. A new deal may be coming soon. Either way, Marks likely will be No. 2 on the depth chart at the start of the offseason program after posting a 198-703-2 rushing line (3.6 YPC) during the regular season of his 2025 rookie campaign (16 games, eight starts). Fellow second-year pro Jawhar Jordan should be back to compete for a depth role in Houston's backfield this spring, while veterans Nick Chubb and Joe Mixon (foot) don't seem to be part of the plan for 2026.

Goff has agreed to terms on a contract restructure that frees up $32 million in salary cap room for the Lions, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Goff's restructure is among moves being made by Detroit to free up salary cap for free agency, including the team's decision to trade David Montgomery to the Texans and ink Isiah Pacheco to a team-friendly deal. As Goff prepares to contend in a tough NFC North division in 2026, one challenge he will have to adapt to is a revamped O-line that has already replaced LT Taylor Decker and C Graham Glasgow with new signees Larry Borom and Cade Mays. Those adaptations will be eased by Goff's elite returning pass-catching corps, led by wideouts Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Isaac TeSlaa, plus Jahmyr Gibbs out of the backfield. It will also be to Goff's benefit to have TE Sam LaPorta (back) retake the field in advance of training camp.

Jones (Achilles) and the Colts are finalizing terms on a two-year, $88 million contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Indianapolis assigned Jones the one-year, $37.83 transition tag March 3 and on Monday worked out a four-year, $114 million contract extension with WR Alec Pierce. Now, as the team had hoped all along, both offensive playmakers will remain in house on long-term deals. As a necessary move to clear up cap space for both contracts, the team agreed to terms Monday on a deal that sends wideout Michael Pittman to Pittsburgh. Jones is currently working his way back from a season-ending right Achilles tear suffered Week 14 of his breakout 2025 campaign, and while it's possible he could be ready for the start of the 2026 regular season, the team may invest in backup depth beyond Riley Leonard, given that Anthony Richardson (eye) has requested a trade.

Jackson and the Ravens are in agreement on a restructured contract to add $40 million of cap space for 2026, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

EDGE Analysis

Some of that cap space will go to DE Trey Hendrickson, who agreed to a four-year contract with the Ravens shortly after they backed out of a trade for Raiders DE Maxx Crosby (knee). The series of events hasn't made Baltimore popular around the league, but it could work out well for Jackson if the Ravens now keep the 14th overall pick and use it on a blocker or pass catcher. Either way, a contract restructure gives the team more flexibility in the absence of an extension (which may still come later this offseason).

Allen (foot) is restructuring his contract with the Bills, creating $12 million of 2026 cap space for the team, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

This helps to make room for new addition DJ Moore, who finished the 2025 regular season with a career-low 682 receiving yards. Moore turns 29 in April and should have more to offer in 2026, joining a Buffalo offense where RB James Cook, WR Khalil Shakir and TE Dalton Kincaid are the main weapons. Allen, meanwhile, is recovering from late-January surgery to address a broken bone in his right foot. He should be fine for training camp, if not spring practices, with initial reports estimating a recovery timeline of 8-to-10 weeks.

Knight is re-signing with the Cardinals on a one-year contract, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

EDGE Analysis

Knight was Arizona's lead runner at one point in 2025, but only after James Conner (foot) and Trey Benson (knee) both suffered season-ending injuries. Conner and Benson still are under contract, now joined by free-agent addition Tyler Allgeier. It doesn't look good for Knight landing any higher than third or fourth on the depth chart come training camp. He should at least be healthy, having reportedly avoided surgery on the ankle injury that ended his 2025 season in December.
